I am getting ready to book some rooms for a trip for 6 to Biloxi to stay at the Beau Rivage. All I have read looks like some pretty steady games going at all hours at the Beau and other Biloxi card rooms. Couple of questions:

Any steady limit action available on weekends in Biloxi? Looking for games bigger than 4/8, preferably 10/20 or 15/30.

Also, anyway to get golf discounts in Biloxi, very interested in playing Fallen Oak - cost quoted over the phone by the club is $200-300, only available if staying at the Beau, would love to play there an possibly Grand Bear, $75. Fallen Oak is my first choice but would love for them to knock something off of the massive fee, do they do this??

I hope you enjoy yourself down there. I tried to reserve some rooms for the Gulf Coast Tournament down there. But no one returned my call so I went to Vegas instead. Had a great time and won a few tournaments. Someone finally returned my call but by then I was booked.

I was at the Beau for 3 days during the last week of July. Unfortunately, I could never get a game bigger than 4/8. The floor did tell me that a 10/20 usually runs on weekends and, less commonly, a 20/40. Alas, I left on a Friday.

The first week in Sept the Beau's big tournament will be going on. The place will be packed and you should be able to find your games if you are there during that week.

The Beau Rivage offers poker room rates Sun-Thurs at $79/night and Fri-Sat at $99/night. You need to speak with Donna, the poker room host, at 228-386-7254. I was there last weekend and the poker room rates for the Sept tourney are sold out.

The Beau is by far the best place to play. Comfortable smoke-free poker room, hot cocktail waitresses, and the most tables in Biloxi. The Bad Beat is four 5s beat and the mini-Bad Beat (10% of the main Bad Beat Jackpot) is Aces full of Queens beat. They offer other give-aways, usually drawings, throughout the week.

The Hard Rock as a small, loud, smoke-filled poker room, but their Bad Beat Jackpot is high right now.

Other noteable poker rooms are the Imperial Palace and Isle of Capri.

With so many people flocking to Biloxi to play on the weekends you really need to book a room 10+ days in advance. Non-Casino rooms are very limited in the local area.

Highest limit game on the coast that runs regularly is $4/8. The only two good rooms are the IP and the Beau. Beau is the only one that runs higher than $1/2 NL regularly. The Beau has PLO some times, but it is $5/10 with a Mississippi straddle on the button.

Thanks for the info, we are looking at 9/18-21, so we will miss the big tourney.

Anybody know about golf discounts??
