So Bay 101 changed their 8/16 LHE to a half kill. They also raised 8/16 to $5 drop (no other changes). They basically implemented this without properly training the dealers on the first floor managers. So four situations that game up that everyone wanted to play differently. How have you seen this situation played. BTW, their statement was that you have to win at least $40 to go to the kill or to be a leg up on the kill:

1) You have a leg up. The next hand is folded to the blinds who agree to fold. Do you keep the leg up? Or does it go back to the dealer

2) You have a leg up. You win the next hand but it has less than $30. Do you keep the leg up or does it go back to the dealer?

3) You have a leg up. You chop the next hand and your share has more than $40 in it. Is it now a kill?

4) You have a leg up. You chop the next hand and your share has less than $40 in it. Do you keep the leg up or does it go back to the dealer

1- Goes back to the dealer.

2- Keep the leg up.

3- No. Keep the leg up.

4- Keep the leg up.

Anyone have a different take on this??

If I understand #1 correct (SB folds to the BB) - the BB gets the leg, and the BB has "one-in-a-row" and needs another pot with sufficient size to trigger a kill. But of course, any casino may decide on a different rule.

In #2, you keep the leg, and are still looking for a win > the cutoff.

In #3, it varies. Often (a) you kill the next and AND (b) the person you chopped with also has a leg up -- or, nothing happens -- or the dealer gets the leg.

In #4, it varies. Same as above, except the possibilities are dealer leg, you leg, or both have a leg-up.

#3 and #4 depend on how much action the casino wants to create with the kill.

Back to the dealer

Keep the leg up.

Back to the dealer

4) You have a leg up. You chop the next hand and your share has less than $40 in it. Do you keep the leg up or does it go back to the dealer

Back to the dealer.

This is very much room dependant.

Is there some reason not to just spread 12/24 and be done with it?

That would be cool. A 4-chip game with $3 chips.
