When you go into the sports book you have to go up one step. It's real easy to miss. When they first opened they had a security guard posted there telling people to, "watch your step."

Since then I've tripped over it twice, and I know that it's there. I've seen several others almost take a header. It needs to be flattened out into a ramp before someone really hurts themselves.

Take the header. Should get you at least a free room.

Was on 20/20 once, or was it Dateline NBC?

My first time walking out of there, I took the "step down" without realizing I was taking a step down. I nearly went right down on my face. Another couple of guys who were behind me saw what happened, and one of them told me the same thing happened to him. How Aria could have been that dumb to put that single step there is completely beyond me. What purpose does it serve anyway?

Also, I wasn't drunk. Imagine drunk people doing it.

Free room because you're too stupid to walk up stairs properly? Yeah, good idea.

You're not familiar with the American civil justice system, are you? Being too stupid to walk up stairs properly can set you up for life.

Anyway, anyone have a general report of what games are running at Aria most weekends? Coming in two weeks and am curious what the typical lineup is.

I saw that line in an online banner ad for Vdara today. I should definitely take advantage of being their first guest, ever, two months after the place opened.

Monte Carlo has a 2/4 limit game, maybe that's more your speed?

You could probably call the poker room and find out quicker than waiting for a reply on here. Just a thought though...

Man, I was hoping to play some 9/18 limit while watching the games this week at Aria. I really don't know where to go now. Not to many places are within walking distance of NYNY.

Sounds like you and I play the same range of limits. I just got back from a weekend in Las Vegas and only found 8/16 at The V. OBV a longish walk from NYNY (I stayed Aria) but the weather was really nice last weekend. Games range from loose passive good to nit fest rock garden.

After that it's 15/30 at the B, which I have never played but have railed some.

At Aria the 4/8 1/2 kill is the biggest limit game I saw in the room all weekend. It's really soft (What 4/8 game isn't though?).

If you don't have a physical disability, the whole strip is pretty much walkable, especially this time of year (when temperatures are not 110+). I am quite fat and out of shape, and still have walked from one end of the strip (Circus Circus, Stardust, Hilton) to the other (Mandalay) several times without difficulty (just takes a little while). It is less than a mile from NYNY to the Bellagio, and you should be able to comfortably walk there in less than a half hour.

I don't have a physical disability, but I do have a girlfriend, and I think the "ball and chain" would make it a lot harder to walk all the way down the strip.

I would like to play for just a bit in Aria this weekend, so I will be there at some point probably playing 1/3, but I will start a 9/18 list while I am there, thats for sure.

Thank you PUSATFH.

I was there at the opening in dezember and it was very cool. I am back in april for 3 weeks and maybe I will stay there for 10 days or something but it depends on the games which are running. I´m not interested in 1/2 and would like to play 2/5 or 5/10 and as I read here it`s not open 24/7. I will see, my first 3 nights are comped at TI and I can check the main places out.

In April there is a WSOP Circuit event at Caesars, Venetian deepstack series and WPT Final at the bellagio so I expect a lot of poker action in the next month ...
