2+2 Is running banners for the new electronic tables at the AC Trump, and they mention $300 sit-and-gos on Fri and Sat paying out $150(plus a free room)/$90/$60. This sounds interesting, but none of the links have much more information on this specific promotion.

Has anyone been there in the past few weeks? What are these things and how do they work? Do you get some sort of room voucher? Buy in?

Games any good in general at the Trump recently?

I'll call and post results if no one knows. Thanks for any help.

I am assuming the free room is a Penthouse Suite and then some if this is a $300 sit-and-go with this payout structure.

It's a FREEROLL with a $300 payout ($150+90+60) plus a free weekend room to the winner, not a $300 SNG.

There are also some other promotions there:

Play 40 hours cash games in November, get an entry in a Freeroll with a $25k prize pool. 1st place is $10k. Many of the games there include people who are looking to rack up hours for this, not take big gambles, so it's not crazy action. People mostly content to break even or make a few bucks, but looking for hours, not big swings, so no one is semi-bluffing all-in with an overcard and a flush draw, etc.

Also - You get a raffle entry for every hour you play. I think it runs for 4 or 5 weeks, starting this week. Raffle is for a PokerPro Heads Up Challenge table.

And of course - I don't think I can post on this thread without plugging the weekly $0.50/$1.00 Pot Limit Omaha games, starting this Thursday, including a free dinner this week.

This.

Trump is offerring the $300 FreeRollz. This is in addition to the $25,000 FreeRoll MTT on Dec 13th.

The FreeRollz will run on Friday night and Sat afternoon. 10 Players will be chosen randomly for each SNG FreeRollz, they will run at least one and as many as three each day

I am locking up 2 seats for 2+2'ers for the first SNG FreeRollz for this Friday at 8PM and then again Sat at 12PM. So far I have 2 requests for Sat and 2 for Friday. I will draw names if get more than 2 requests for each night, and post Wed 10PM.

So you can get in the draw to guarantee a seat (just PM or email me, or be playing in any cash game for another chance.

Does anyone have a clue as to how often games go at the Trump Plaza??? I'd love to try and qualify for the $25k freeroll on 12/13. If I drove down on a random Thursday night to clock in about 4 or 5 hours, would that be possible to play from 10pm through 3am??? Or would I have to be there during peak hours, like a Friday evening or Saturday???

I'm pretty sure there'll be a game in those hours, although it might not make it quite to 3AM. Although, since the PLO games will be on Thursdays, there should be plenty of players in the room on that day, even if you just want to play hold'em.

I drove down to the Plaza back in Aug when Poker Pro was new down there. There were only 2 games going during the day/night. I really enjoyed them and their room is HUGE !!!!

I've been getting FREE rooms for 2 nights/per week but to drive 4 hours down is alot of gas and poker time that I miss.

I hope nothing but good luck to the AC players who play down there. They are missing out on a GREAT TIME if they don't play Poker Pro !

I am resistant to electronic poker but I reluctantly whent to the Plaza to check out the 25k promo. The room is a hike from the garage but right off of the boards. When I arrived at the registration desk I met Nathaniel who was more interested in what seemed to be a personal phone call than getting me in action. I was leery about handing over my drivers license to get registered but the process was so simple that within 5 minutes Nathaniel made me a trump card and poker account without even missing a beat on his phone call. When I asked about the 25k promo I was handed a brochure and brushed off to the cashier to make a deposit. I realise that casinos refer to us poker players as the lowest comon denominator but at least pretend to appreciate us like everybody else does. Making a deposit was quick and easy. When I arrived at the table no one came over to assist me and it took a couple minutes to access my $. When the other customers noticed I was new they could not have been more helpful getting me aquainted with the system. After just 3 hands I was comfortable playing the game. The game moved quickly, smoothe and was suprisingly enjoyable to play. One great feature was that at a showdown the computer shows the win percentage as each card hits the board. I also like being able to view the last hand. The game displays each players name next to thier bankroll which makes for a friendlier more social game. I had people I had never met calling me by my first name. After about 2 hrs of play Paul approached me to let me know I was not being rated. I found it odd that the computer did not track our hrs but Paul backed up my play and spent time explaining the promotions and rating system which awards 1 comp $ per hr of play. Paul was extremely proffesional and I hope his courtesy rubs off on the first supervisor I encountered. The downside about the room is the lack of activity. They need to get more customers in the seets. I dont think I will be putting in the 40 hrs for the promo but would like put the room into my rotation if they get more action.

StudGunner just locked up final guaranteed Seat for Sat. Still should be pretty good chance to get into one of the $300 / Free Room FreeRollz if you are in the room and in cash game Friday 8-11PM, or Sat 12-3PM.

Cheers

Flopster. Welcome to 2+2, thanks for giving PokerPro a try, and taking the time to tell us what you think. I am in vegas right now for our first Weekly PLO Game At Excalibir. I'd like to read though your post more carefully and maybe comment but for now just wanted to say Thanks

You are welcome. Looking forward to hearing what you think about PokerPro and Trump Plaza room.

I am biased but I think Anthony and the Trump team did a great job building out the brand new room. IMO, one of the nicest and most comfortable rooms in AC. Classy like Borgata, but has a smaller, friendlier atmosphere like Showboat.

They made a pretty major commitment to poker and poker players so lets support that by at least giving them a try. great time to do that with all the promotions they have going on.

Once the word gets out and more people give TP and PokerPro a try, I think TP will always have a good mix of NHLE, LE, and PLO games running.

CJS,

Remember that not all PokerPro rooms are on the same PokerPro version. This has to do with the rigourous certification process PokerPro must go through in each jurisdiction.

Most PokerPro rooms can run all variations of Omaha including O8. Any game offerred on PokerPro in your room can be run using Limit, Pot Limit, or No Limit.

I assume since you posted in Trump Plaza you are talking about them and and yes they can run O8.

P.S. I've played O8 on PokerPro and it is SCREAMING FAST. I would guess you get 200-300% more hands per hour vs O8 on manual poker table.
