I was in Vegas recently and visited all the popular poker rooms:
Bellagio, Venetian, Mirage, Caesars, Monte Carlo, MGM, Ex, etc. I didn't see one true 6 max game. Some of the high stakes tables were playing short but only for lack of players. I have never been to the Bike or to Commerce. I was wondering if 6 max happens at all live anywhere.

It has been tried many times in Vegas, and failed every single time. It is an internet thing, which is where it will stay. It is not popular live (at least in Vegas).

Your best bet to play short is late at night or early in the morning, when games come close to breaking, but even then, the game usually either breaks or evetually picks up players. Most Vegas locals prefer full games.

LVM is right. I remember Binion's trying to get these running with something like 5% $3 max rake and still didn't work.

Live players don't like to play short. Casino managers don't like to spread games that don't earn much rake.

/thread.

Go to the Wynn around 6 am, you can almost always play 5/10 NL short-handed. Against people who have been playing all night and are often stuck/tired.
