Does anyone think it is +EV to have the ironman chip? does anyone think that because new players see it, and figure out what it is eventually, that they may give more respect to someone with the chip, or assume they are a better player than they are? Or is it better to opt out of the chip image and look like someone who only plays occasionally....

I actually think you get credit from players without HUDs and know what it is for being a better player than you might actually be.

I think the chip does help the image

I noticed that since I had the chip more players respect my raises lol. Don't know if it's a good thing tough. Also more regular players are trying to play back at me.

But I still don't know if it's an advantage for me to opt it in or out.
If people got good advantages/disadvantages let me know.

i mean.. whatever. but ever notice how most of the top winners at any stakes dont have the chip? generally i think its pointless cuz thinking players are not affected by it, and u dont want the morons who r playing too many hands to "give u more respect" i.e. fold more

Not that big of a deal for me, it's fun too have a status but i never get respect.

So can you opt-in/out at any given time?
Or do you have to choose for 1 whole month?

You can opt in/out. Click cashier --> my promotion -- iron man ---> look for the opt in/out

I know you can. But I am wondering if you can change it any time you want within a month.
So for example you want 1 day the chip status out, but 2 days later you feel like it's better with the chip so can you opt it in again?
