I dont know if this is just me or not. Over the last 6months to 1 year everytime I sit at a poker table I want to slap the **** out of atleast 5 people at the table. Im just so sick of everyone and how good they claim they are. SHUT UP!!! You play 1/2 and 2/5 your not phil ivey. I just want to know if poker has turned anyone else into a bitter old man who just wants to slap the **** outta people. Im not like this because I am a losing player either. I win about $14 a hour over 3000 hours live. I just cant stand people anymore.

You sound very mentally weak. Not only that, you're worrying about something that is outside of your control. All you can do is worry about yourself and doing you. That said, I've played guys that tell me how bad I am all game, I look up their stats and they're down 15,000 bucks. Do I care? Hell no. Those are the guys you want to play. If you've really won 42 grand I don't see how you can have this big of a leak.

This might sound elitist, but if you are better than them, than you really just won't care. Apathy is your friend here

I personally find it amusing when a player is talking about how "good" they are and yet they can't beat 1/2NL because the players are "so bad". Likewise, i love it when they start talking poker theory at the table and then proceed to butcher the concept they are talking about.

you have a choice. You can choose to let this upset you. Or you can choose to find it amusing.

^bang on dgi,

Damien, I disagree. I think it becomes much easier at home to trash talk because you can say all the things you wouldn't say to someone in person. Even when I used to tilt, my manners at live tables were always polite, and when guys would trash talk others I'd think they had mental problems. However, when I would go home and play online, I'd be swearing up a storm at any chased draw that hit. Once I even yelled out "take that you *&^%$" after winning 20 bucks online from my own friend!

Maybe they are good, maybe they're not good, what's it matter. Get over it. Worry about yourself, and improving your own play.
