Player 1 plays session(s) of online poker at his game of choice until he/she/it receives a positive return. (The player may stop at any point as long as the return is positive.)
Player 1 reports winnings to player 2.
Player 2 plays session(s) of online poker at his game of choice until he/she/it has matched or exceeded Player 1's winnings. (The player may stop at any point as long as the winnings have been matched or exceeded.)
Player 2 reports winnings to player 1.
Player 1 plays session(s) of online poker at his game of choice until he/she/it has matched or exceeded Player 2's previous winnings. (The player may stop at any point as long as the winnings have been matched or exceeded.)
Player 1 reports winnings to player 2.

what happens both of you lose your entire bankrolls trying to play until you get a positive return?

Lol very bad way to approach poker. Because you'll be playing to get even and chase losses and that is the most destructive thing in poker. Also when playin poker, you should emphasize making the right decisions over making money. I feel like a hypocrite saying this now because I tilted very badly today because I lost $. But it happens to all. Guess I learn for nex time

You are missing the point. It's not about grinding out hours to top your opponent.
