You guys have actually pee in bottles? That is so gross. Sorry but anyone doing that deserves to be single. Did you know your allowed to sit out a hand in cash games. And tournaments have hourly 5 minute breaks. There is no excuse for such disgusting behavior and no girl will want to be near that.

wasn't long ago that MTTs did not have synchronized breaks, so if you were playing several at once you'd never get a true break. also SnGs have no such breaks, and there are people who massmultitable them

just addressing your points. i hardly play tournaments at all so i've never had reason to pee in a bottle, but it doesn't seem that crazy to me

if anything, being a poker pro should make it EASIER to go out meet / socialize / date.

The only thing to watch out for is when girl drama ----> affect your game

I don't think it has anything to do with what you do. it's just a job like anything else. Back when i grinded live tables for a living, I still had carried on a relationship. It is obviously a little bit harder since the prime grinding times are also good going out times. I find myself in a position where I had to decide between going on friday/saturday night or grinding the tables.

You just need to balance your time. As an online pro, I think it's a bit easier because of the availability of the game.


edit: that whole being a slob thing is what's really killing your game. As for the feelings, everyone who plays cards has to deal with it. I'm like a zombie after a session.. especially a losing one.

Been dealing with this a lot lately too. Balance your goals imo and realize that relationships require work... I got a lot better once I said this a few times out loud and now actively try to engage during "gf" time.

meeting girls through work isnt a great idea anyways, you play online so you designate your own hours which is awesome do one or more of these:

take your dog/borrow friends dog and go to park
volunteer somewhere
get a part time job somewhere social
take a yoga class or just work out in a gym
try dating sites (never done this though but they seem to be pretty legit these days)

basically just realize that poker is a job and it should be separate from your personal life
