I care more about the action than winning/losing $ I care more about the action than winning/losing $

I'm normally a 2/2 plo live player.

but when there's a high hand promo, I play that instead.
(high hand promo = player in the room with the highest hand wins $1000. it's run every 30 min. minimal hand is full house Aces. 1/2nl, 2/5nl, and limit hold'em players only.)

so I usually just sit at 1/2nl and play any hand that could make a high hand like pairs for quads and 4 8 for a straight flush (in addition to normal premium hands).

I don't get creative if I don't have a premium hand. c/f if I don't flop a set or a draw (including gutshot straight flush).

then this hand happened:
mp $1000
hj (Hero = A T) $400
co $300

preflop:
utg limps, mp raises to $15, hj/co calls, blinds/utg folds

flop ($50): 2 7 Q
mp bets $25, hero calls, co raises to $75, mp pushes all in, Hero INSTA-CALLS (WTF?!) , co calls

I knew i didnt have the pot odds yet I didn't even hesitate to think.
as soon as he pushed I insta-called like I had the mortal nuts.

mp had KK, co had set 7's.

after losing that, I left the poker room and sat at the bar to do some thinking.
I win/lose $400 in one hand of plo, OFTEN.
I concluded I was bored playing ABC poker and just waiting for a high hand.

I play poker for entertainment.
I never thought about this till today but I think I'm an action junkie and not caring that much about the $.

The question is: Is that bad???

If you don't care about the money and just seek a thrill, then go get yo 'frillz man!! Yeah, it's -EV, but honestly who gives a f***? If you're paying for entertainment then it's money well spent.

Don't think about it too hard. The last thing poker needs is more smart people.
