I've been playing HUSNG for 3-4 months now and I think poker players fall into 1 of these 3 categories:

1. Donks. Losing/break-even players.
2. Rounders. Profitable players.
3. Elites. Consistently profitable players. <-- the goal of most poker players.

Losing players are self-explanatory. They just don't understand the game and are general "all-in on a hope" type of players. These are the donk and degenerates.

Rounders are those who understand the mathematics and basic theories of the game. They are able to get their ROI in the black but are unable to maintain it due to poor br management or tilt issues.

Elite players also, obviously, understand the basic math and theories of the game and have strict br management. However, it is my belief that the very fine line that seperates the every day Rounder from the Elites is this: An Elite player is able to maintain focus, composure, and incredible discipline under the most brutal of poker circumstances. They can keep their composure after losing a massive pot to a complete donk by major 5% suck-out. Rounders, on the other hand, downgrade to donk mode after a bad beat and go monkey tilt with their stack or even worse, their bank roll.

As for me, I'm in the rounder category and I'm still struggling to get my mind-set like Elite players. Lost my entire br once and came close a few more times. But I'm improving.

I gotta say, even Phil Hellmuth put like 5 or more personalities to poker. Personally, I think there are fistfuls of types of winning and losing players. You, after a few months of playing have figured it all out for us though.

There are obv more types than this, but husngs are a very small niche and i can see how a husng reg could make these 3 general categorizations about the opponents he faces.

Rounders and grinders are probably synonymous. These are winning players who tend to over roll their bankrolls. Then you have the adventurers who are also winning players but tend to take shots a little more often.
