I mainly played HU PLO and HU NL $200 but busted my roll and gave poker a bit of a break, i then deposited and played some PLOHU but after another Tilt session busted that roll also getting bored at PLO50 and moving up to 200 under rolled.

So now wanted to make another deposit ($750) and this time I'm just going to focus on BRM and not $$ won

But i also need to be playing a stake so its not pointless grinding hours for only micros winnings, so I'm thinking of playing $15 HUSNG Hypers giving me 50 Buy ins, i know ideally for hypers you need 100 or more but i thought at this level 50 might be ok, as $7 games would really have me bored.

Now my question is what should i do play the $15 games with 50 BI not ideally rolled or start at $7 properly rolled with 100 Buy ins

I only 1 table

I know many say its better to be a bankroll nit and i totally agree with this since i have never been able to stick to BRM, but than others will say 1 tabling 100 BI at that level $7 is way to nitty just play $15 especially since you're only 1 tabling and have previously played $200 games.

NFI what to do any advice would be appreciated i want to make this deposit work instead of just ****** it up again as i always do.

thanks

Im gonna try to give an advice on this, you should start by asking why do you tilt? This is a problem all poker players have and you should treat it like a long term goal with evolution marks. Everyone tilts, you just gonna get better and tilt less and for that you need to ask why does it happen and deal with the cause in order to overcome them day by day.

As for BRM id say it is very specific for each game type, stake and format, the variance is always different for each game, so for example if you are going to grind X game Y buy-in Z speed you need to check what are the common and less common downswings for that and them get a BR accordingly. For example for hypers the roll they suggest is usually 3x higher that if you played turbos or reg speeds. In the games i play 50 BI downer is common so id have at least 150 BI.

Also you need to understand that if a good winning reg has 50 Bi downs and its common then for a worse player it could be way bigger. Go for lower stakes and make a decent sample and check for youserlf if you really are a wining player at those and compare it to other regs, only after you have sure to beat those you are ok to go try beat the next stake up.

plz dont get me wrong, but being bored is no reason not to follow BRM, im a semi-pro player for nearly 4 years, and played same stakes for months (almost years), before going up. ask yourself if your goal is to beat the game or to have fun(not getting bored).

put that money into figuring out why you tilt. i guarantee you're just gonna "tilt" it off even faster playing hypers underrolled. but it's your money, if you wanna set it on fire, you're allowed to.

and if $7 games will have you bored, you're looking at poker wrong. until you're actually a winning player at $7s, that's your level. Jumping to 15s is an ego decision, and it's just going to lead to you being busto fast.
