Someone was saying they made an account and it used their email address as their user ID. Anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like something to email support about, can't say I have seen that or had it happen to me either. I feel like I occasionally see an email address as a username at the tables, but its pretty rare.

I don't have any desire to say anything when I'm playing live though. But yeah, there's something about the quasi-anonymous nature of online play that encourages people to unleash their inner jerks.

I don't have any issue with people cussing in chat and I enjoy both friendly trolling and chatting with the players...but when people are just violently raging and a reg is consistently abusing/insulting other players (e.g. iamgto calliing people nits constantly when he plays 16/14/4% probably) it's not healthy. Some form of moderation is necessary.

I see this in videogames too people just think cause it's the internet they can act like 5 year olds.

Yeah we all have weird triggers that cause us to tilt. Just keep the chat minimized and try not to look at it. Maybe put rubber band on wrist and snap it during session if you do...could be move that saves you a lot of money.

is there a way to see the tourney lobby for YOUR tourney, once you're playing it and have closed its lobby? i.e. how many players left, etc

You have to go and find it in the lobby, there isn't a tournament home button on the window of your tourney.

Scroll down the lobby until you get to the 'running' tournaments. Then just DBL click the one your in, and it will open for you.

How often does the Global Poker Rep get back to the suggestions here?

It varies, but they seem to check it pretty often and respond occasionally.

How do you know they check pretty often?

You can see them posting, search global poker Joey and global admin.

Thanks.

I wouldn't describe the Reps presence in this thread as "pretty often." It looks like they are here in this forum a couple of times a week. But they are here and they do listen, so that's a good thing.

Agree to disagree, they are here much more than "a couple of times a week".

And agreed with your second statement.

I must not be seeing what you see. I don't check to see if the reps are on line. I only see their history.

In the last seven days (11/7-10/31), Joey has 7 posts in two days, The week before (10/30-10/23), 4 posts in 2 days. The week before that (10/22-10/15), 5 posts in two days. And the week before that (10/14-10/7), 1 post in 1 day.

We can politely disagree, but I believe the history shows "a couple of times a week."

admin's history is similar. His/her last activity was 11/02/2017.

I'm not throwing dirt on the reps. They work the threads when they visit. And I think they do a good job.

Right.... which is why I said

"It varies, but they seem to check it pretty often and respond occasionally."

I am unsure of what you have presented here that doesn't exactly match what it is I have said. Either way, thanks for the stats.

What I presented was information that contradicts your "pretty often" statement.

my derail is done. Have a good day at GP.
11-07-2017 , 07:59 PM
they respond rarely on this thread (cant speak on how often they view it), however whats much worse is I haven't really seen a single thing on here implemented since I started playing at global 2 months ago.

the technical aspects of the site are easily its weakest attribute, while (imo) its strongest are cashouts/deposits and email customer support.

Yeah, but it doesn't contradict it in any way.

What you presented proves exactly that they respond occasionally which is what I said. What you presented does not prove the part you claim I have wrong, that they check often.

It is your opinion they don't check often, it is my opinion they do check often. Neither of us can prove it one way or another, which is why we agree to disagree.

And I am fine with our opinions being different, but what I am not okay with is you saying your "facts" prove things they cannot. Now if you find some "how many times a day Global Accounts log in to 2+2 stats" I am all ears. And depending on what those said, I would of course be willing to change my opinion.

Either way, at this point it is still (as no facts have been presented that contradict it) my belief that Global checks this thread often, and responds occasionally.

Yeah its a tough one for sure, but I lean more towards where you are on this that Global needs to pay attention and fix some of the technical issues, especially the BB bugs in tournaments, the screens blanking out with check/fold its free to check options, and other issues that currently evade me.

The cashouts are fantastic, but these other issues are going to rot away at the core that is Global. And I can believe they working with their developers trying to fix things as quickly as possible, but some of these issues have been going on a while, and may soon become (or already are) beyond the point of how long they should have taken.

The blind timing needs to be fixed. Playing a hyper today, and first hand everyone was in blinds were 10/20. the hand went past the first blind limit, and the next hand the blinds only had 20 seconds left in the second blind level of 25/50 without even playing a hand. So basically we played 2 blind levels in one hand

Did anyone time out as well? I would think a timeout in the hypers would be brutal. I have always felt on the SNGs, if someone is disconnected they should stop the clock. Can't really do that in an MTT, I get that, but the single table tournaments, I don't see why that couldn't work.

FWIW we read this forum daily and take everything on board.

In regards to responding it is conversation dependent. In threads such as this one I spend more time collating the suggestions and feedback that you guys provided and passing it on to those looking at our software development.

We try to reply where we can add value to the conversation but largely want to leave you guys free to discuss Global Poker and share your opinions instead of trying to tell you how to think.

In saying that if you are ever looking for our opinion on anything don't hesitate to ask or send a PM!

Joey

thanks for the reply. I appreciate your answer, but I think from the perspective of the consumer, it would go a long way if a company rep was actively involved in this discussion. in my opinion, the reason no one from global is involved is due to the fact that almost none of these suggestions (some which could be considered very important) have been implemented. perhaps also there are no plans to implement any suggestions either. you have to see that the software is pretty bad compared to your competitors. although, of course, you have no ACTUAL competitors due to your business model (you are legal, while no one else is), and therefore can get away with having terrible software technically!

id be curious to see how global is doing in the 3 us states that are regulated and have legal online poker?
