Its been a long time since I played on Global Poker. But I randomly decided to check my email yesterday to find I had a ticket to play a tournament waiting for me.

I haven't been playing much poker over the past year or more so I wasn't expecting to go deep but I did manage to cash for a little funds. Too bad my last hand, AA got cracked by AQ.

I don't see many of the old Global regulars at the tables anymore. There was a time when a guy named illusive was steamrolling everyone on the PLO tables making for some of the biggest pots in GP history (at that time and possibly even still).

Reading the GP section here it seems like GP handed out quite a few different bonuses, likely to busto accounts or players like myself who haven't played in awhile. Smart move on their part, bonuses is something that was lacking and one of the reasons I moved on from GP.

Looks like I'll be grinding the micros to see how things go.

They have stepped up their freerolls and bonuses, hoping to see many more great things in the future given that they aren't planning to offer any rakeback.

They sent me a free $11 ticket and I won the tournament for 117.

Nice, I won $66 with the ticket they sent me. Ran it up to $300 and then went busto moving up to 10/20 when trying to compete in the raked hands race.

OP Do you get the newsletter freeroll tickets? Curious if they send them to people without a current balance in their account.

wow, I remember illusive back when I started playing on global. One of the biggest PLO whales of all time, guy was incredible. Pretty sure he had multiple 6 figure swings in both directions very very quickly.
