I started playing on Global a few years ago after hearing about it at the casino where I work and deal poker. I care for a loved one with dementia so I am only able to play here and there. I built up a bankroll of around $800.

Due to a health crisis earlier this year involving a broken neck, a brain bleed, and a medivac flight, I had to take a few months off. When I recently logged back into the site, the money in my account was completely gone. I emailed support and got back a generic copy/paste job basically saying that there is a single line of fine print buried within the 14 pages of the terms of service that says the money in your account "expires" after 90 days, and to use it before it expires next time, but feel free to deposit more money onto the site.

So I got on this site and found a couple other people who had had the same thing happen to their account, but were able to have their account balances restored. So I sent another email inquiring how I can get my money back... Got the same generic copy/paste job from a different person, this time with the fine print in bold.

I thought my money would be safe on Global. Every other online poker/casino/sportsbetting account I have money on is 100% intact, and I've never heard of one where your money expires. Seems kinda fishy.

Has anyone else had this happen? Seems like a huge red flag if they will drain an $800 account on a technicality you didn't even know existed, and then refuse to restore the balance.

To be clear, have you not played in the last 90 days or not logged in within the last 90 days?

The problem you have is that because of Global's business model, you never had $800 on account with them. Instead, you had 800 Sweeps Coins. The fact that they can be redeemed for prizes that equal $800 is just a happy circumstance for players. I realize that nobody thinks of them like this, just that this is the model they have developed.

It is similar to frequent flyer miles. Most airlines now don't put an expiration date on them, in the past they did. So you could earn these "miles" which had no intrinsic value. Their only value was that the airline would allow you to redeem them for flights, or other things, as long as you adhered to the rules. One of the rules, typically, was that you had some form of account activity within a certain time frame.

So I did have an instance with an airline where my miles expired. I called them, and they gave me a one time opportunity to reinstate my account and get back the miles. Will Global do this for you? I have no idea. I really hope they do - because I know the feeling of having something, and then finding out it has been taken away.

Good luck.

Just fill out 160 letters/notecards for the free sweeps coins. Read the sweeps rules for all the details. Itll take a while but you'll get them added to your account eventually like 3-8 weeks.

They will give your money back based on many older cases. Let us know how it turns out and gl!

can anyone confirm what the actual rule is? I have a balance on there but haven't been playing. But I log in every few days, steal my free 25 cents.

Do I have to worry about my balance?

I don't know the answer - but why don't you log in every day, and get more than 25 cents on some days? And until you do get an answer - maybe play 1 hand of blackjack every month or two, just to make sure?

This is ridiculous. They should give you your money back. If you were gone like a year or 2 and they thought maybe you died then fine take the funds. BUt a few months? They also do this at banks. If you don't have any activity i believe after 2 years they take all your money from you thinking you are dead. This is someting they should state on the deposit page in big red letters. NO ACTIVITY OVER 2 MONTHS= MONEY CONFISCATED. Then everyone knows. Thats a big blow to lose entire br especially times like these right now.

I didn't play for a yr and they took $100 from me, but put it back when I signed back on and asked them to.
