Consider with two cards to come you have better chances at hitting so what about when you flop something that in order to improve you would have to hit runner runner.
Would there be any other think to consider other than standards odds. Ex. having pocket A's will happen 1-220. But the chances of having them back to back is alot more. Is there any way this applies to runner runner decreasing your odds? Vs. having a backdoor flush draw getting 1-4 odds on flop hitting one on turn and getting 1-4 odds on turn to hit on the river.
If you need one card to make your hand after the flop, you have two chances to get it. For example, with 9 outs to a flush you have 9/47 chance of hitting on the turn, and (38/47)*(9/46) chance of missing on the turn and hitting on the river. You add those probabilities together to get your chance of hitting by the river.
If you need two cards to make your hand after the flop, you only have one chance to get them. With 10 outs to a backdoor flush draw you have 10/47 chance of hitting on the turn and 9/46 chance of hitting on the river assuming you also hit on the turn. You have to multiply those probabilities together to get your chance of hitting by the river.
