I'm a profitable player in FT turbos which have an ideal blind increase leve imo, but but after a few Party and OnGame turbos (blinds to 10% of starting stack after ~10 hands), playing them seems like a coinflip at best to me.
I have a experience at iPoker, and they also have very-fast-turbo SnG, like 6 hands per level. I just found 2 player with 500+ SnG and a positive ROI. I noticed that you need a different strategy than "tight early, use ICM late", you really need to build a decent stack early to survive the inevitalbe crazy allin festival later.
I'm sure they can be +EV if you're against bad enough players. It's just that the skills now focus on ICM almost entirely. Players who play too tight are going to get absolutely slaughtered in this tournaments.
If you are great at ICM these are likely way way way better for a skilled player.
You think? Wouldn't the edge be a lot lower than if you spent more time playing postflop?
Maybe I'm wrong but my intuition is that bad play with high blinds is not as big a leak as bad play with deep stacks, with the exception of someone who plays high blinds way too tight/passive.
There's a tradeoff here; for example, if your ROI in non-turbo events is 7% and your ROI in turbo events is 5%, you should play turbos, because turbos are just about twice as fast.
