He ****ed it up by showing pre-rakeback sharkscope graphs of all the regs Thought this would be a great way to bring new players to hypers now he's scaring them away...
Yeah he looked through his HEM, with EV adjusted, and hit kind of a reality check when he found that he had run quite a bit above EV. Felt kind of sorry for him for his confidence taking a hit. He also considered basically quitting while up and while having had luck on his side.
Yeah everyone in chat now talking about how it's impossible to make money in poker while they were circle-jerking him an hour earlier when he was god-moding hypers.
I think the only solution is for someone who makes a decent bit of money and has a good personality to get in touch with a streamer and guest stream or start their own stream and get viewers or something IDK how any of this works but it would be sick to have people get excited about poker again.
I agree. Pokerstars and Bovada should sponsor entertaining players to get more interest in the games.
I watched the youtube video of StickyRice where he ran $16k to $30k. It didn't seem like he was on a huge heater or anything. He simply played a combination of ultra-aggressive + fishy calling station at the same time.
It probably confused most of his opponents. We see his cards and how he plays, so we know he's terrible. But imagine you're trying to play position or bluff and get called down every street by weak hands and you lose. Or your medium strength hands have to be folded due to his 700 BB allins. You'd start to think this was a formidable player.
Once you realize he sucks, you just stick to solid play and play for value.
Moldan on the other hand... oh man. The guy's full of hilarity. He runs like god and makes comments like "I think I've mastered $100 tournaments."
It was hilarious when he was going through his Sharkscope and he realizes that he's running like $3000 above EV, and that he should've been at -$2000 instead.
I think this would cause the second (or third or whatever) poker boom if he ran well - dude has 30 million youtube subscribers and video would get at least 4m views i reckon
he was surprised the blinds went up? he was surprised that the blinds went up last week when playing a SnG...
Yeah. Whaaat no they don't. Oh they really do. Someone told that to him in the chat. He was also asking people to come and eat with him in koreatown or something like that. From Finland so don't have any idea is that a real place.
