Funny, watching the entire clip, I didn't take it that way at all. Negreanu put it more as a fault of his brother, something he didn't agree with. So if he was couching it as a veiled threat, well-played, I guess.

I'm probably one of the very, very few people who subs to both Doug's and Daniel's channels right now. I prefer Doug's videos overall, especially because of the comedy in them. Negreanu's VLOGs, however, give me almost an "insider's" look to the WSOP. I've followed the happenings inside the Rio more from DNegs videos than from any other single source. Of course, it means I have to sift through a lot of chaff to get to the wheat, as I don't give a damn about Daniel meditating or working out.

Also, to the previous conversation about Doug learning the other games, I just don't see that happening. I'd have to dig up the video, but he broke down why it's more profitable to become the very best in a few disciplines of poker than to spend your time trying to be adept at all of them. Sure, the latter is more effective at winning bracelets and scoring POY points. But that's clearly not Doug's goal.

Finally – as my posts tend to be LONGER than SageDonkey's – I gotta say this: going back to rewatch a Doug Polk video is about as enjoyable as it gets. I always catch details that I missed the previous time, such as the aforementioned T-shirt. Srsly should go work for Pixar.

Whenever Daniel gets mad about something Doug does, he likes to make cryptic, passive-aggressive responses on YouTube. Here's a video where he complains about Doug for 17 minutes minutes without mentioning him by name.

Daniel is a pretty sad, little man.

I watched that video a while back and thought it was a bit odd and rambling, but you're right, it's actually all just about Doug Polk. Pretty whiny stuff.

Negreanu is really bad at just taking a step back and seeing how he looks from the perspective of others. His whole justification of his rake comments is horrible.

Yep, hats off to all Doug's vids. They are quite brilliant. My favorite is still the AA vs. KK set over set hand on PNIA. The last minute or so was done so perfectly, whoever orchestrated that one has my lifetime respect.

Awesome how Lee Jones can spread a bunch of BS and use his position in the industry to try to rag Jason Mo's rep. Then when Lee gets exposed for his nonsense, he stops "gracing the community" with his appearance... until jmo has finally had enough and trolls him with a FU Tweet of his own. Then Stars freezes jmo's funds... like they're some high authority after their "Director of Poker Communications" got caught outright lying.

But of course DNegs can insinuate bone breaking / face re-arranging (more severe than a kick to the groin imo?) and it just gets overlooked or even glorified as if the target of his threat is misconstruing the obvious.

Personally I think Daniel has done a lot for growing poker over the years, and indeed puts in a lot of effort to spread the game (or remain relevant... however you want to view it). But basically he trolls the fk out of people who make him insecure or don't buy-in to the executive Stars Group cult of motherf***ing a significant portion of the industry. Then he'll go on some "positivity kick" whenever he gets called out for doing so. Rinse & Repeat.

And as far as Lee Jones goes, his six-show video series lost half its viewership in just 3 months (search YouTube for "Lee Jones Poker Talk") and has now been relegated to sharing his awesome hand analysis with a handful of Twitter eggs who have stumbled onto Discord.

Sorry that's may be a bit off topic to this thread, but I feel it's relevant because of Daniel's threats towards Doug.

As I'm posting in this thread, I make no comment as to who's I prefer/think are more interesting.

(I mentioned in the other thread I spent many years writing jokes, to the point of getting bored with comedy. Hint hint: there are other ways of providing content that don't revolve around trying to set up a punchline and miraculously keeping the viewer involved)

I think a lot of us watch Danny AND Polks vlogs right now. We all may think they are going in different directions as to quality but I think we all for the most part, watch them.

I really like Phil, super gentleman, but when I saw her post that tweet yesterday I thought about how if he was anyone else, the poker world would be savage.

Dnegs vlogs are all but unwatchable. Because, well, Dneg is in them. Especially after those not so thinly veiled threats to Doug I'm not quite sure why anyone is watching Dnegs vlogs......
