I am also up $42 after a month when I started with a $100 br. How is a 42% bankroll increase in a month unable to beat the games.

So lol at DP defending his record at $2 NL on 2+2. Can't make this stuff up.

Don't worry about the haters, but man you're setting yourself up for it with this fishy sounding comment. That's kind of how the ecosystem works...

Keep up the great work, enjoying all of your contributions.

You could probably generate a lot of publicity for yourself by calling Doug out on a public forum and starting your own competing challenge where you promise to trash his fish ass. Put this softwarebot wannabe in his place and show him what a real player can do.

Just a bit of advice - Your screenname is pretty great branding, but may I suggest a slight altering to "fishfood69420er?" It'd go really well with the "nostalgia for my 6th grade AIM sn" crowd

Confirmed, would have been a top-tier middle school AIM SN.

I've really been enjoying all the various themes and topics on Doug's youtube channel. Great charisma and good sense of humour. Loved the straight-up analysis of the Rounder's hand and I particularly enjoyed the excitement of the 10K twitch feed.

Great job Doug! Keep the great content coming.

Doug, I enjoyed the recent youtube segment on the 99 hand versus Negreanu. Micro betting in spots like that is something I've been doing a long time and also getting ridiculed from my poker peers.

I do think, however, that you've misjudged Negreanu's range on the turn. Admittedly, I've read his book, and he specifically advocates checking top pair and overpairs in his range in that exact spot (see pages 412ff).

It's just funny that Hellmuth has been doing those small bets for years and always gets laughed at. When Doug does it, it's seen as advanced strategy.

I'm glad that Doug and Fees give PH the respect he should be getting from high level players. The video on the upswing channel about his WSOP results was pretty impressive and I'm glad someone put the work in to show what he's done for all these years.

In one of his latest videos (after the HU match with sauce), Doug says that he is rusty and not sure if it is worth the time/energy necessary to put into claiming the crown.

If you watch the video you'll see he pretty much admits that he has work to do if he wants to stay the best which is as good as conceding the throne afaic.

He didn't say he's rusty at HU... just that he has to decide between playing poker and business/growing poker.

After BF I developed into a HS NLHU specialist. For the past couple of years, nobody wanted to play me a NLHU, so I began to take on pupils and develop their games from the ground up (sidenote: evil empire).

Now, people want to play me again. I had a recent match with Sauce where I realized that I was rusty and if I want to claim the crown there is a lot of work to be done in the lab -- poker is a full time job.

But, I have other stuff I'm trying to do and I feel like I'm at a crossroads: do I dedicate my time/energy into playing? Or, do I dedicate my time/energy into other ventures such as media?

observation from me: Doug refers to his poker playing career in the past tense a few times in the video -- which indicates which way he wants to go.
