So much this.
It is amazing what a big deal "natural food" is as a marketing prop. Let's go to Costco and buy some basil to make some pesto. Pay a little extra for the GMO free label... hey wait a minute, do you know what's wrong with this picture?
My objection was to no-doubt sincere people offering health advice. Here are some great exercises Avoid meats. Not too much salt. Do way more veg. Oh, and by the way, GMO foods are terrible for your health. Mixed in with otherwise great advice from someone who sounds knowledgeable is some bogus Whole Foods marketing garbage. The scientific body-building and health crowd, right up to we hit their popular superstitions.
