Hmm, I think I found a bug with the new tavern brawl. My opponent played a sub-10 mana sea giant and it summoned an 8-drop, which is what I expected would happen. But I dropped a 1-cost sea giant the very next turn and it didn't get the DR.
I mean, I think I know why it happened. It checks for cost when you play the minion and adds the DR if cost >= 2. Then it checks again when the minion dies and therefore uses the full 10 mana to summon an 8-drop. But still seems silly.
Does the new reward thing start this month and not take into account any prior seasons? I can't remember my highest finish if it takes the past into account. It is finish, right? Not just highest rank achieved...

This has been confirmed by many. The way it's coded is just silly. They should just automatically add deathrattle. 1 and 0 cost minions result in nothing because there are no eligible minions, same with Molten Giant. Instead, they do what you say, check if you paid 1 mana for it.
The new rank rewards certainly discourage me from playing Tavern Brawl for more than my 1 pack. After a long hiatus from this game, I haven't been focused on ranked much simply because I've been trying to build up my collection through arena.
Sadly, this also encourages more face hunter, since I can play 3 games of that in the time it takes to play 1 game with my patron or priest deck.
That's what he was in beta, then he was changed to what he is now. Blizzard has said they don't like cards that allow you to mess with your opponent's hand so I think it's just an error on the website.
yeah they dont want discard mechanics to be a thing, but it would have been nerfed anyway. i mean come on thats op as ****. i would propably run it over boom in a lot of decks.

Is there a way to make your moves before the animations have fully resolved? I played a couple games yesterday where my opponent's grim patrons seemed to spawn and attack way after the rope had ended.
What's the best way to use my gold? I have 2300 gold and 800 dust. I have all the classic commons and most of the rares but only some of the epics (no bgh, no cabal shadow priests, no snake traps, no ancient of lores, no force of natures, no ice blocks, no brawls, no faceless, no giants at all) and only a few legendaries (tirion, boom, rag, onyxia, mukla). I don't have that many GvG cards but have already crafted most of the ones I want (like unstable portal, implosion, muster).
So is it worth buying GvG packs to complete my collection with cards that mostly I don't want (though I would like to try some mech decks out since I barely have any mechs)? Or buy classic packs to get those epics and legendaries I want (though most of the cards I open will just go to dust, unlike GvG)? Or wait for TGT? My next goals for crafting are Sylvannas and BGH.
