I think F2P will be undoable starting with this expansion, it's one reason why I'm probably quitting soon.

Also, I wonder why they aren't offering the Medivh/Alleria/Magni skins for sale for gold? I doubt anyone is buying them anymore at this point. I rarely actually see anyone using them. They could charge 1k gold if they wanted to be reasonable or 2k/3k if they wanted it to be a gold sink for people.

The cost of the game has gone up almost 50% this year. You just have to grind your daily quests every day and hit rank 5 every month. I guess it's not an unreasonable thing to do but personally I'm not interested enough in the game anymore to bother with that. I want to have fun, not another daily chore (I don't play any F2P games anymore because they all follow the same format with a similar grind, though Hearthstone is the best F2P game I've ever played). At any rate you will be able to obtain much less content than previously and only playing the meta decks and budget decks gets boring very quickly IMO.

Ah. That doesnt really affect me. I can play ~100 games a month and hit 5 and clear quests quite easily, that's how I've been playing for three months now

But unless they charge 2x mor for packs or something I think the free to play model is very viable, especially if you're even halfway competent at Arena

Yeah you should be fine. A lot of it is just that I'm burned out with the game. But the price increase is really going to hurt the F2P scene.

Sure, but at some point you realize you're spending all your time playing a game you don't want to play so that you can play a game you want to play. Except you never actually get to the point of playing the game you want to play.

Get that 3 mana deal 9 random damage to anything from the 3/4 mage card that gives you random spells in Arena. There is a 3/5, 2/3 for him and a 3/4 for me. Hits me in the face 5 times in a row, hits my guy down to 3/1 and hits his 3/5 down to 3/4....JFC. Loss right there.

lol where in my post at all can you even infer that tone? I don't mind it, I just think it doesn't bode well. Something ****ty is coming, it's a pure PR move. Maybe it's because of the price increase.

but yea not only is drake a 4/4, it draws a card and priest can't even kill it with dragonfire. It is aids. You need some pint sized potion combo or other goofy shenanigans to deal with it. I usually trade + blackwing corruptor it.
