They need to release some anti mech cards. Vanilla no text cards would go up in value if there were more anti mech, anti pirate, anti murloc type cards. Right now there's no down side to playing all mechs.

Agree. The only sorta anti mech card (and not really) is the scarlet purifier. it doesn't even deal with the front half of a shredder tho.

EMP: Spell that disables (aka Freezes) all Mech cards for one turn.

Cyberhacker: Minon w battle cry to control (temp or permanent) an enemy mech

i love the idea of an EMP. cyberhacker is too priest-ish for me

again though, what's the point of 'anti' cards? to arbitrarily discourage someone playing a certain deck?

is that fair or fun?

One reason is to create turbulence in the meta.

Or to feel like at least there is an answer or at least some counterplay to strong decks

It's probably better when the counterplay cards are subtle rather than obvious though. Like, if token zoo is running rampant, and you pick up on the fact that Arcane Explosion is really good against them, that's an opportunity for you to make a clever choice and get rewarded for it. Similarly, if you are the first one to take Argent Commanders out of your deck when Sludge Belchers start showing up everywhere, that's a astute perception that deserves to be rewarded. But if trap hunters and mirror entity mages are running rampant and you just kezan mystic, it's a bit hurr durr.

Grim Patron is broken in mage especially in Arena.

Grim Patron is great in Arena if you're a mage, but it's super slow and not really relevant in constructed.

oh this is going on in 2 threts at the same time. no its not its ****. how is it great what does it do that is so great ? trade down 80% of the time without any further impact? how is that great?

and last week some dude reached legendary 1 with a grimm patron warrior. so how is it not relevant in constructed? wait is it opposite day?

Not relevant in mage decks in constructed.

And if you drop this on turn 5 in arena as a mage so it can trade down, you're playing this game very wrong.

I should have said in my first post that its power comes on turn 7 when it's a 3/2 and a 3/3 for seven not good stats but its ability makes up for that.
It turns your hero power into create a 3/3. Played at the right time its devastating. Next time you're Mage in Arena and get offered it give it a go you might change your mind about it.

back to cards that need nerfs: mad scientist. it's a completely busted card for 2 classes and completely useless for 6. getting a 3 mana secret for 2 mana with a body is utterly ridiculous

edit: the fact that im carrying kezan in half my decks only because of the early power from hunter and mage (and the prevalence of those classes) speaks to the cards imbalanced strength. make it a 3 mana 3/2.

Nobody is saying Grim Patron is not great with Mage in arena, but it's not terribly good with Mage in constructed. Obviously awesome in warrior, as the 200+ games I've played with it this season can attest to.

actually thats exactly what i am saying.
its ****ty in the arena with every class. dropping a 4 and a 3 a 7 or a 5 and a 2 are all better on turn 7.
even dropping a normal 5 with decent stats and pinging something on the other side of the board is usually better.
the only way the patron can get really out of control is when you drop him and your opponent cant remove him so you ping him next turn before you trade him into something.
but if you are in that situation the game is most likelly allready over. like ok when you drop him on turn 7 and ping him and your opponenet doesnt have aboard at all thats a great situation but that would be a great situation either way, while in most situations in which your opponenet has any kind of board he is worse than a 5 drop with decent stats.

it's a win more card in arena which is already a big handicap but it's not even a great one at that. you want good minions that you can play on curve because you can't rely on combos usually. I think it's horrible in everything but mage and still only average at best in mage. it only shines when youre both top decking and youre the one who plays a 3/2 every turn+draws a card and your opponent only draws a card
