A club is a lot sparser then a spade. You should be trying to read cards by the pips, not the index.

I've been both playing live poker and wearing glasses since the late 80's, but this whole "how to tell the cards apart" thing is new to me -- thanks.

Once again, since you obvious don't get it, not everyone, even well educated people wearing glasses with hundreds or even thousands of hours of live play can make out board cards 100% of the time.

We have to, from time to time, do things like ask the dealer if that's a nine of clubs over there...

Thanks mate!

I'm purchasing 100 decks, so hopefully they do me a decent deal!

Thanks for the tips, guys. Ordered both the Copag Jumbos and Modianos. Even if I don't host home games at the moment, I feel I need cards that remind me of the 4 color decks online. Have figured it could be good to deal cards to yourself and look at the distributions of flush draws and so on, especially in Omaha.

I've been very happily using the Modiano Club Poker Red/Blue 4-Color 2 Deck Set for years... but they haven't been available for order for months.:

We like the 4-color deck with regular sized pips for PLO, because you can see your entire hand more easily than with the jump pips.

Any recommendations on an alternative to the 4-color Modianos?

Amazon now has the 4-color Copag jumbo and regular size decks, and the regular size looks pretty close to the Modianos:

Don't think you can find the 4-color, 4-pip ones anywhere.

Boy do some people hate the 4 colors, though. I guess the blues and blacks look somewhat similar in dim light. Had at least one player say that caused him to think he had a flush when he didn't. Oh well, pay more attention next time.
