Okay, here we go..

I'm LH, and I'm road tripping from California to Florida and back, on whatever route I please. No deadlines, no due dates, just me and the open road! The whole point is to have fun, see and try new things, meet people, and all the other fun involved in a trip like this.

If you'll have me, I'd love to play in your home game while I pass through your town! Of course, I plan on visiting some casinos along the way, but we're in this forum because we know that home games are, for casual and recreational players, as much fun as it gets. I'm more of a recreational player than I used to be, and I want to meet new people, crack a few cold ones, trade some stories, which is what gave me this idea.

Some pertinent background information, of course - first of all, despite the signup date and post count, I'm not new here, I've actually lurked 2+2 for years, since when I first picked up poker. I'm a mid-20's college grad, born and raised in California, worked full time since graduating in 2008.

So, with permission from Almighty Mod, I'll bump this thread with my current location when I'm in a new town, and I'd love if anyone hosting a game threw an invite my way! If you don't want to post it, of course you can PM me.

If you're interested, check out the blog I'm keeping while I'm out on the road! It's a pretty random jumble, but I think buried in the rambling nonsense, there might be a nugget of truth or two. In any case, hopefully I hear from you when I pass through your game!

Currently, I'm in Tucson, AZ, with plans to head towards San Antonio in the next day or two..

Thanks for the responses gentlemen, I appreciate the outreach, and it looks like I'm going to get to moonlight quite a few games along my journey! I am, indeed, traveling alone and doing my best at safe passage. I'm really excited to meet you all and hang out for a night.

Just as an FYI, my sorta-kinda planned route has me going Eastward on Interstate 10, which crosses Texas to Houston and then pretty much hugs the Gulf Coast to Florida. So Aidan and JZP, you won't see me for a good while, but again thank you whole-heartedly for extending invitations! Ava and Marietta, you guys are actually right in my crosshairs, so I hope to be in touch!

By the way, Deming, New Mexico is a really, really boring town. Over and out!

Tonight I'm staying in Las Cruces, NM. I was going to stay in El Paso or even San Antonio, but this is my first time in New Mexico! So I'm staying the night and I'll try to find a pool table in a comfy bar, and try to soak in a little landscape in The Land of Enchantment.

Some 'fun' facts about Las Cruces:
- Its ~97k population is good for 2nd largest in New Mexico (I think my inner-city HS had about 97k people).
- The "Whole Enchilada Festival" in September attracts 50k people and produces a 10.5ft enchilada, which is divided and served among the attendees.
- Las Cruces is the closest city to the White Sands Missile Range and Test Facilities, government-run centers that do military, aeronautical, and space exploration research.
- Las Cruces' tallest building is 10 stories, owned by Wells Fargo Bank.

Random thought, but if you want to make this post trully epic I would take pictures from the home games you attend along your trip and post them here. It would give us all a glimpse of the diffrenet HP members and their home games.

Jacob, nice meeting you last night. This is Ben. Let me know if you need any invites to home games in Savannah or Atlanta. I could make a few calls and vouch for you, since I now know that you're legit, and this isn't a ridiculously elaborate scheme to rob home games along the I-10 corridor. That would make a great book or movie, but would fail miserably as a sustainable blog or online thread, unless you left no survivors in your wake of terror.

I commend you for your adventurous spirit and hope you continue to posting, so we can all travel vicariously. Travel safely and don't forget to stop in Charleston, SC.

Absolutely. Should you pass through again, I play a "pride and points" league on Wednesday nights for $10 and quarterly freeroll; and on most Saturday nights we play NL150, PL150, FL2-5 mix.

With notice, I'll make sure the game is on the RFID table.
