Hey everyone... long time lurker. I know this topic's been discussed before but it's more of a specific issue so I think making a new thread's fine.

I'm looking to buy some chips that will allow me to run a .25/.50 cash game that allows about 2000 big blinds in play ($1000). I also want the set to handle playing sit n goes, but I'm guessing that if I can support the .25/.50 cash game above, I can make a sit n go work. I'd prefer to stick with the "traditional" colors, (meaning pink quarters [huge bonus if you can find these], white dollars, red fives, etc) if possible, but I'm willing to compromise there.

What's the best set + breakdown by color I can get for say $100 (and if you come in cheaper I'll take that too haha)? I'm assuming those lucky bee nexgens. If I can get pointed in the direction of sites that sell them the cheapest it would also be very much appreciated.

Thanks

EDIT: I don't need a case as I have one from one of those old crappy dice chip sets.

SECOND EDIT: Also looking into labels if they are affordable (an extra $30 total or so?).

Here are the cheapest "quality" chips you can get, cut-and-pasted from elsewhere in this forum.

Progen80's from DCG at 23c/ea
Nexgen Lucky Bees from DCG at 18c/ea
Nexgen Lucky Bee 8200's from DCG at 15c/ea

You can get a thousand of any of those in an acrylic carrier with racks shipped for well less than your budget. You can't get much better touch-and-feel on chips without a significant bump in price.

There are some moderately priced pre-printed ceramic chips, like this in the 40c range:

I use custom ceramics at home.
My league uses Lucky Bee's.

This will help you with the breakdown. And I'll give a "Thumbs Up" to the Progen80's. For the price, you can't go wrong!

Try looking over on chiptalk.net for some more info or maybe even a group buy on some chips
