Crazy home game last night. I have a weekly micro stakes NL cash home game I attend (if I convert to USD it's roughly 0.07/0.14 blinds with 100bb buy-ins so lets call it 14NL) and we had a guy who made a record last night for biggest cash. He left with a 14 BI profit (1400bb) and was the only guy to leave up for the night. This was acheived mostly due to the biggest pot I ever witnessed to date live.

Here's how it went down:

Loose-Guy (hence to be knows as LG) had just lost a 200bb+ stack with 2-pair vs. a straight to the Big stack (hence to be knows as BS - the guy I mentioned who finished up 14BI) who now has a 500bb+ stack as a result. So LG has just rebought for 100bb and this is his first hand with a fresh stack. He limps UTG with A8. BS (500bb+ stack) picks up red AA and raises, Laggy guy (hence to be knows as LAG) who has about 300bb+ stack decides to get cute and smooth calls with QQ. I CC behind with 22 trying to set mine (150bb+ deep). Then the player in the BB (200bb+ stack) picks up KK and 3-bets. LG looks at him angrily and calls (he's a loose passive player as you can guess and likes to see flops). At this point BS decides to overbet shove AI. LAG sits there for 3 minutes contemplating what to do and decides he thinks BS is trying to bully them out of the pot and calls with QQ. I LDO fold my monster ducks, BB calls with KK and finally LG decides to put in his last 70bb to try and win 400bb with his SOOOTED Ace.

AA vs. KK vs. QQ vs. A8s in a 900bb+ pot and the board comes low and BS picks up the whole deal while busting 3 players all at once (as he had everyone covered). No 2 btw so I didn't have any results oriented regrets

Obviously not a lot $$$ wise but if we measure it in bb it's the biggest pot I've ever seen live. So what's your story?

Not the biggest pot ive seen but for the most amount of BB's was a .10/.20p home game an it was a £410 pot

Biggest pot I ever saw/one was the $1600 pot I won at 1/2. All red chips. About 16 ($100) stacks of red's.

AI Preflop

Set over set I turned my set of Aces he flopped his K's. AA/KK flop Kxx Turn A River X

My heart almost stopped on the flop then his stopped on the turn. He didn't show but I knew he had them and he said he had them. And just by the way the hand was played it was pretty clear what he had. The best part was me and him were running over the table staying away from each other until this hand happened.

The BS ended the session up 14 buy-ins (so he cashed out for 15 buy-ins total or 1500bb). He was also the only one who left up for the session. 4 players busted out empletely (3 in the hand above, 1 more a bit earlier), and me and 2 others finished the session with chips but we were all down.

Guy with KK didn't feel too bad. Guy with QQ said he got a cheap lesson on folding QQ PF when your deep.

The guy with A8s is a really nice guy and of course one of the donators to the table. The important thing for me is that HE thinks he made a good call PF and I'm 100% fine with that.

biggest pot in our home game was a ~36 buyin pot, but it ended up being chopped between 2 of the 3 players allin. i won a ~20 buyin pot last home game with A high that was fun.

o for sure, i know him to he went on such a downswing he had to start playing 1/2 again lol. thats a pretty sick beat.....

biggest ive seen was a .50/1 game where i won $850. bought in for 70 and left with ~950. had 2 guys straddle and restraddle every hand for like 30 or 40 bux. built my stack up to ~225 when the big hand came up. one guy straddled for 25, other restraddled for 50, i have pocket kings, raise to 125, one guy calls and the 2 straddles call (as they call every bet no matter what) flop comes K Q x i push all in and get 2 calls, one guy has K Q and the other has J 10, my hand holds and i rake it in. i play in bigger games and this is still the largest ive seen live, guess we play too tight lol

This game plays REDICULOUSLY big and we just basically play for fun... But everynight there is at least a $200 pot

You guys are all talking about NLHE. In VA, we had a $0.25-$0.50 PLO8 hand where I split $820ish pot. I flopped 3 pair and called two bets (suspecting that everyone else was either beat or chasing low) until rivering a full house. Very nice!

yah.... I think he was first to ship with that hand, and it was last hand of the night, and thats often straddled the whole way around the whole table.... Oh and the guy with the 24s won the Sunday Million this past Sunday (kixelsyd) (this seems kind of relevant i guess)

well i was fairly intoxicated but i remember the basics. my buddy and i have a **** ton of history together and in general just play like maniacs vs each other and try and outplay the other person every single hand.

so anyway he raised in mp i 3bet w/ AJo folds back to him he 4bets and i call. flop is like T52 or something with 2 diamonds. he checks i bet he raises i call. turn is a blank, like a 3 or something idk. he bets i shove he calls with Q9dd. we decide to run it twice and i fade both rivers for the pot

been quite a few years but i won a pot of approx $3000 with 6-4d. it was a 200nl game with 5/5 blinds (the same card room now has 1/2 blinds for this game.) my opponent had 2-2. the flop was 2-4-6, turn was A, and river was a 6. most of the big betting occurred on the river and the only hand i had to fear was AA which he had not represented at all earlier in the hand so i wasn't worried about getting my $1500 (approx) into the pot.

coincidentally, i beat the same guy out of a $2300 pot with 64suited again less than two weeks later. both times i had been in the blind, but people started associating me with 64 as though it was my favorite hand.... i got lucky with it a couple of times, but i prefer AA any day!

edit: sorry, forgot i was in the home poker forum! biggest home pot i was in was for $300. I held A5, my opponent had KK. the flop was AK5. we got AI and i hit another A.

Does your 2/5 game not play for the BBJ? Ours does not I figure other places don't have the higher games play for a BBJ.

I used to 'host' a 10p/20p game while I studied at University, with some restraunt owners and local nutjobs. I reg sat £300/400 deep, to cover the worst player, the restraunt owner. Tonight we had run our stacks up to £700+, bet/called a 543r with 44 headsup, raise/called a 3 turn and check shoved a blank river, straight into 55. £1400 plus change pot. I still dont regret getting it in with 3500bb because he could have had a straight and 53 as likely as he could have had 55.

Previous to that, I had A4 vs 33 on 4334A for about £900 pot, but I actually think I could fold the turn given the player I was in the pot with!

So, my biggest pots BB wise are 7000bb and 4500bb respectively.
