A supposed poker pro, Grant Lang, stole $22K from me. Does anyone know what he posts under on this forum and/or know him personally? I want to recover what he stole and make sure everyone is aware so they don't get into the same situation.

Contacted another backer suggesting he play on his brothers account the games he can't play for us (a breach of our agreement and Stars' ToS)

Ok....just got sent this post in a FB message.
I, the real owner of stim1986 on 2+2, haven't logged in for over a year so it seems someone has hacked my account.
I have 12 inbox messages demanding money as well as numerous outgoing messages. My skype and stars names are also neither of the above, i'm guessing the owner of those accounts is the guy that needs to be chased for $.
Sorry for the situation you and other people are in but I posted on 2+2 for years, doing hundreds of honest swaps and % sales before deciding to quit poker.
If I can be of any more help let me know...I hope you get this sorted.

We decided to part ways and asked him to send us the $813.26 cash on hand he held. Knowing full well we were parting ways with him, he chose to play a session anyway and lost $655.78. He communicated with us before he played so he 100% knew.

He has not even sent the remaining $157.48.

"ToTiTo.sl said he lost the money playing, but according Sharkscope, since may 3rd (one day after we cut him) he played only 10 tournaments and lost $2.39. So my guess here is that he cashout and said he lost playing thinking we would be nice with him and let him pay in the future" - from our .br manager

PokerStars - Goban899

Original deal I dropped him. We then agreed a new deal 2 months later with different conditions, with MU carrying over. I made sure he read all conditions and to let me know anything he didn't like and wanted changing. He came back suggesting changes eg limits. Nothing was said about new conditions eg selling to new stable, therefore he agreed to it and was fine with it.

2 months down the line I have closed my staking business, and looked to sell players to different stables. Goban899 was the only one who refused, he flat out said he wouldn't move and so left in 7k MU for free. He said 'I don't need poker, I don't need staking, I hate 90% of poker community, write what you look, I will not move to new stable with this MU'. His argument was because selling wasn't in our first contract, it wasn't relevant. Laughable. Our new contract clearly stated the selling part, and seeing as all my other 10-12 guys I've sold to new stables were understanding and ok about it, it seems he is the anomaly.

Horrible man, horrible morales. NEVER EVER get involved in any kind of business with him.

Not to mention, he constantly moaned about bad beats as if he was the only one it happened to, and just brought a negative influence/atmosphere to my group chat.

I'm here.
And I've never played the money.

You forced me to continue in Pocarr (March 29) or pay $ 3000+ for my resignation (for future earnings).
Now, you pay me:

In accounting terms, my contract lasts for 540 days.
You ended my contract unilaterally, on day 75.
Remaining 465 days.
I played daily on average 13.5 MTTs.
$1.02 average gain by MTT played.
Average daily gain of $13.77.

$6403,05 ($13.77*465) - $197 (MU) + $133,78 (SBR - BankRoll) = $6339,83

You must pay me = $3169,92

And his guys (Pocarr.br) wanted to charge me the same!

I worked hard and I was always fulfilled. And I get fired when I left everything aside to continue in Pocarr.

OK?

I was freerolled by Jerade Reindl - BigRex on 2p2 - Holden Ghore, Canada on stars for 5% a Sunday pack I sold.

He built some trust up with me after buying from a few packs I sold in the MP. On Sun April 17 he said he would be sending late -- which I thought was fine as this had happened the week prior where he was late paying, but did manage to get it sent off to me mid-session. Since then, I have not heard from him and hes now blocked me on Skype. This is my bad really as I shouldn't have trusted a guy I barely know...

Kind of sad I have to write this up for $34.43, but just a warning to the community about this guy. Can provide Skype convo if needed. Not really expecting the money back, just wanted to warn others before does this again.

Last message I rcvd from him:
Sounds good, I'll send over when I get home just went grocery shoppig

ok, so it turns out it was one big mis-communication and Goban899 didn't realise the situation and thought he was being used as a slave. He has since come back and we have resolved the issue, which is very good of him, and goes against all I said. I would of deleted the original post, but I cannot seem to work out how...

I would also like to say that a lot of what I wrote was in anger, and very unprofessional/inaccurate.

Seems weird that you don't address the guy above who's saying you tried to make him pay "$ 3000+ for resignation (for future earnings)." Kinda makes one think it could be true?

rule number 5 Player may not terminate our backing agreement while in “make up”. If you are in profit, you may quit at any time. We may terminate this agreement at any point.

A term on our website from 4 years ago would not supersede a signed agreement by both parties that clearly outlined differently.

I think one of the problems with not having any regulation on staking or poker in general is being brought to light here in a big way, Pocarr isn't being very transparent with a lot of things and they seem to have an unusually high amount of people scamming or stealing from them. Either your recruitment process is appalling or there's something going on here.

While I agree that they seem to have left a fair number of negative feedback posts, it's also possible they've got a very large player pool and/or experiencing some negative variance.

Would be very interested if this was true or not. If it's true - and thus you're making actual slaves out of your horses (i.e. you can never quit for any reason, even when in profit, unless you pay us. Grind slave, grind!) then what the **** do you expect to happen from a horse who wants to quit? You're forcing them to scam you just to get free of your stable.

This is 100% true. Pocarr pro rata calculate how much they expect the player to make for the duration of the contract and then charge the horse that amount to buy out of the contract.
