$230 buy-in ladies event. Blinds $250/$500, ante $50. Hero is sitting on about $13K (26BB) and has all players in hand covered. Table does not know, but it is only Hero's 4th live tourney.

UTG+2 shoves for $2,400. Read: decent player who has been card dead. Range is any A, any PP, suited K with big kicker.

Folds to CO who flats. Read: has been quiet but fairly solid. Fact that she does not shove over the top here makes me think she has more speculative hand.

Button shoves for $2,700. Read: this may be her first time playing poker.

SB tanks and flats the $2,700. Read: very aggressive but decent player, clearly was a tough decision for her so range is likely middle PP (88-1010).

Pot now ~ $11,200. Hero looks down at JJ. Hero tanks, does not like playing JJ 5-ways but thinks that she could very well have best hand at that point and has trouble resisting odds of calling $2,200 to win $11,200. Hero debates coming in over the top but thinks she will only get called by QQ+ , so intent is more to set mine.

Flop is K97.

SB thinks for a minute and shoves for $4,000. Seems very unsure of herself and Hero is fairly certain she does not have flush and is trying to drive others out of hand.

Hero?

What are the stack sizes of the 2 callers? Stack dependent, I like a re-raise all in preflop. It will likely fold out the cutoff and small blind. You don't want to be playing JJ effectively 3 ways post-flop into a dry side pot.

Also, note where you are in the level...if blinds are about to go up, you'll want to re-calculate your stack size relative to blinds before deciding.

As played, fold this flop. You cannot call off 1/2 your stack on a draw.

CO has $6k behind after making call. SB has $4k.

OTF, I don't think it's solely a draw--I think I am ahead of SB at this point based on smell of desparation and prior play where she tried to bully people out with less than premium cards. But that only gets me the side pot, and I was totally lost on how to factor in the two AIs who can draw for free with A of clubs.

agree with above, shove preflop, still probably calling post flop as played

Gotta get it in pre. It's an even better spot considering the dead money from the callers. Also looks like an obvious squeeze spot so you may get called by much worse hands (if mid pair did in fact flat). Women tend to play their big pairs like QQ+ much faster so there's less of a chance that one of the flatters is trapping you

Super easy shove pre avoid this spot. As played I guess it's a jam now as everyone is so short stacked but is just guessing game now due to pre.

get it in pre you 57% against thye tightest range. on flop aswell even if your up against a set 99,77 and Ack or worst Ace you still have a ton of equity to maqke the play profitable. Dont be scared to play these hands even though jj can be vulnerable you still cant play them weak you will get exploited against good players.

In such spots you gotta worry less about people trapping you and more about missing opportunities for dead money. Btw, grats at aerial4 for shipping the event!

ship pre. (ainec) dead money is main reason. value is another.

otf, id call now given your reads of SB, i dont hate a fold either. id lean towards calling.

Yeh, erm this an abortion of a logical train of thought.

The two shorties have 5x and are getting it in so super ****** wide and they are so short we are not even thinking about their hands. The CO has flatted only one bet thusfar and her range, again, is pretty wide. Lots of Aces, maybe any broadways cards, any pair. If she's flatted with AA to induce a ship from behind then gg wp her*, but we're hitting a J on the turn so it doesn't matter. Aggro SB is calling with like 60-70% of hands because of the dead money in there and pretty much never has us beat, I mean like almost never, really, nearly never, close to 0%.

This is the second easiest shove a human could make, right after Paris Hilton, on the top of a tall building.

Thank you fans, I'll be here all night.

I'm not even going to talk about what you should do OTF because the flat pre is abso-ridic-tots-absurd ad infinitum...
