So next weekend in Tunica (01/17 - 01/24) there's a WSOPC event and a WPT event back to back. Who here is going? Anyone have a room reserved and looking for a roommate for part of it? Not sure if i'm going to go yet, but the flight isn't so expensive so I might try and squeeze it in before Borgata.

me, stamm, soggy, and k-rock are going, though we arent playing the big ones. tunica is the softest tourneys/cash games around

I heard today in a 10/25 PLO game, that a guy had $60k on the table. Last year I know they had 50/100 PLO games and I'm sure people were mississippi straddleing every hand.

I was at the Grand last week and they had 5/10 NL and 2/5 PLO pretty much 24/7 getting up to 10/25 and no max buyin at stakes above 1/3.

I just got back from Tunica last weekend but I wouldn't necessarily mind going back down there this weekend to play some more 1/3 over at the Horseshoe and/or luckbox into a stake in a tournament.

Does anyone with a room need a roommate?

Yeah Grand was full last weekend. It took one of my friends who had a pretty good rep over at the Gold Strike practically begging to get us a room anywhere. If I can't find one, it's not that big a deal.

If I can, I get out of class Thursday night and could be in Tunica in like 3.5-4 hours.

I was just in Tunica last week. stayed at the Goldstrike. Cash games from 1/2 - 25/50. 50/100 2-7 lowball games, ongoing SnG's, tourny action. Anything you want, they got it.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but I think some of you should be warned. Unless they've changed the law since I went to college, if you get caught with drugs in MS (or shooting a deer across the road

), they can take everything you have with you (your car, cash, guns, furniture, whatver) - AND they do.

SO, if that was too rambly - read it like this: DO NOT HAVE A ROACH WITH YOU WHILE CARRYING $60K IN CASH (or in the same room with it, etc. etc.) or that could be a very expensive buzz.

Okay guys - here's my current plan.

I am not backed and my BR is a joke related to playing >$7500 events - but I'm going to give it a crack anyway.

I will leave tomorrow morning and be there in time to play the noon super-sat at the WSOPC. I'll play as many as all three of those. If I lose that, I'm going to leave Saturday morning and I'll come back to watch you all on the FT.
