It always blows my mind how resistant to math and theory MTT players are. MTT heroes disregarding math cause they think they know better based on some insignificant sample is the main reason this form of poker is still as soft as it is.

Isn't this situation bankroll depending? I mean if you have 1 mil$ in profits, you should snap and if you have a 2k bankroll, you should fold. Thats how I see it (obv Im exagerating but you get my point)

isn't there some implied EV in calling that AKs ? i mean if you win the flip, you can control the table exactly like the other bigstacker does ?

There is some implied EV, but there is also a lot of direct negative EV. Even if he wins he's stuck between two bigger stacks. Not much table captaining happening from there.
