$10 online MTT. 3rd hour.
Hero (~14,000): transferred to this table only about 15 minutes ago. The blinds are creeping up so I'm playing tight-snug at the moment. My opponents' reads on me might be irrelevant (Bovada).
Villain (covers Hero): seems standard TAG, and what I mean by that is, he makes standard pre- minraises + flop c-bets (a winner 2x this way). Two other times pre- minraised (once UTG, again MP) and when another V 3-bet him, he folded. So I guess he's capable of raising light preflop, even EP. Only 70% sure of this, I guess.

Blinds/antes 300/600/50. V min-raises from UTG. All else fold to me in the BB.

Flatting in general is probably poopy here, given the ever-increasing blinds (every 12 minutes in this tourney). If you are shoving against this V, what's your range to do so?

At some point there is an imaginary line where shoving allin over a raise becomes a rather large overbet and not optimal. This is usually around the 20-25bb range. At this point you have a few options of what you can do, if your hand is too strong to fold but not strong enough to get allin preflop you can flat.

With your stronger range of hands that you want to get allin preflop, for example mid/big pairs, AQ AK I would not make a massive overbet preflop. I would just make a large 3-bet (since we are out of position I would 3bet to 3.5-4x there open raise) and then shove in on the flop no matter what.

Ya exactly, I would 3b to 5x then decide which range you're gii after he re pops you. Usually for me vs tag utg opener its 5% or so.

We have 23,3bb. I would shove my whole valuerange against utg open if opener is at least decent and I am in sb or bb.

How do you size your 3b with these eff. stacks oop? 4.5-4.7 bb-ish?

Why would you shove a 23,3bb stack vs utg min open? Ur valuerange loses so much value doing this imo.
