Bovada, $4 MTT, Final Table

Blinds: 100/200

Preflop: Folding around to button Villian(4600) who raises to 600, HERO(3900) in SB with A9o ?????

***Button villian was running 56/20/2.9 over nearly 50 hands. BB villian had 5000 in chips and was running 33/0/.8 over 50 hands.

So I know this isn't a fold, but do we just GII here? If we had 2500 or less it would be an easy ship for me. Also if we were in the ante stage it may be a ship for me. But pre-ante and this stacksize seemed like a bit of an awkward shove (would be shipping about 3800 into 900). I know it's a great scoop (over 20% increase) when it gets through, but I feel like a shove leaves us a bit too vulnerable to blow a manageble stack.

Shove/Flat/Raise?

Shove.

The reason being is because I push rather than 3b when the shove size is less or equal to 10 bb. Otherwise a 3b is too awkward stack size. I also like to have a holding that has 40% at least versus his calling range and with the ace blocker we more than likely have that.

20x is a very standard resteal stacksize. Especially when he makes it 3x. Jam is fine vs 56/20 (unless you have some kind of a sizing read that 3x is the top of his range).

As a matter of fact, this particular villian had only raised to 3x maybe twice the entire time, but hadn't shown down any 3x hands. He generally was opening on the button at 2x and 2.5x. The blinds had just gone up and antes had come into play the previous level, so there is a chance his 3x may have just been his new open size.

I should have definetely mentioned the sizing issue in my OP. Given this, do any opinions change?

If you know he'll call you with as light as small pp's and at+ then consider folding, but shoving or folding is fine.
