How much have you made lifetime off staking?

Do you enjoy your work?

Did you get married etc? What does your family think of your involvement in the staking business?

How much does staking hurt online pokers sustainability?

If you owned an online site would you allow staking?

i never kept great records on how much i actually made. i know when i started with pageh656, we made some good consistent money (was mainly sng stakes), and the swings really came when i started working with elio. i assume everyone thinks i made way more than i actually did

I do not enjoy staking anymore. its why i "got out". I still have a piece of the online business with elio, but its not that big anymore and we only have a few guys left.

I do not have a wife. My family knows all about it and they dont mind. my mother just cares about if i can pay my bills and pretty much the same with my dad. a lot of my aunts/uncles and extneded family know as well. i can tell at times they think i am crazy, but meh.

I am not to sure how much staking hurts online poker as a whole. there are tons of good things about staking, and also tons of bad things. like, me and elio were prolly dumping a ton of money in games where we were staking guys who shouldnt have been there (for a multitude of reasons).

If i owned an online site, i would probably allow staking. more rake from "bad regs"

this is a tough question...

when someone "scams" elio and i, there are a lot of things that go into it. once a horse is in make up, and they start stealing and we catch them, i think their whole make-up number is on them. sometimes we re-stake them (not a good idea). one past horse prolly blew off mid 5 figures in cash games/small cashouts/whatever over the years we staked him (was a good friend and we gave way to many chances). we have dropped guys in low 6 figures in make up who stole from us, and i firmly believe they owe us every dollar of that make up.

not sure i want to really name names on certain people. especially the guys who did well for us. i will name the scammers though, ha ha

way back stars did a reload bonus. i was staked at the time (mement_mori). i put on the 700 and got a bonus of 700, so i cashed my 700 out and then used the other 700 to start staking people. me and pageh656 split it all. we got lucky to start right when battle of planets started (a stars promotion) and a 3 dollar abi guy made us like 10-15k. and it went from there.

there are so many ways to define "worst". i guess the horse who caused the most headaches, while stealing from us, and being dropped in huge make -up is betudontbet.

tbh, i dont even keep up with online mtts anymore.

we picked up our horses in the start from 2p2 marketplace. we had a thread and people sent in applications. i would go through them all, ask for more info from some of them. once they got through the initial phase, they sent a few HHs and elio would go over them and would say what level we could offer based on those HHs.

the best horse is hard to define as well. we worked with a ton of great people. off the top of my head: dylan linde, dirty_brasil, probirs, zackattak13, romdom82. not all of those guys won a ton of money for us, but they all were good people to work with. i am missing a lot of people, but those guys come to mind cause they played the highest stakes and i obviously ended up sweating them the most.

those bb/100 things were more elios part of staking.

How do you feel about poker in general?

What is the worst excuse you've ever heard from a scammer?

What is the biggest sweat you can remember?

Who is, in your opinion, the most talented player you've ever staked?

How crazy do you have to be to get into staking nowadays?

Do you think it is more stressful to stake for a big part of your income or to play poker fulltime?

Craziest post-victory celebration or fun moments?

Thanks for doing this

What was the biggest MU you cut the guy out who wasn't cheating in any way?

What are you going to do when you stop working at staking?

1. poker has pretty much given me everything i have at this point, so i love poker for that. it also is a game/industry that teaches you things a lot quicker than most because of the money thats involved. I have met a ton of really cool people and poker.

2. "i need this money more than you do" when they are talking about the money they are stealing...

3. probirs was like 1/13 in some huge prague ept with a lot of chips. he had like 30-35% of the chips in play. then he lost a flip in a weird spot to a short stack, then he lost another flip to second place in chips for a massive massive pot and he got like 11th or something. he had a ton of make up too at the time, so was a pretty important tourny. i got to watch it on eptlive too, ha ha

4. This one is pretty tough. elio was usually the one who dealt with the actual poker side of things, but in my opinion, i would say betudontbet. when he had his head on straight, he was pretty fun to watch and would run stuff over. i lived with him a decent amount so maybe this skews my perception on this, but yeah

5. staking is a hard hard business. doing it in this climate seems even tougher. some stables are doing great, some are dying off. if you are hungry enough i am sure it can work.

6. i would assume playing yourself is more stressful. i mean, actually clicking the buttons has to be tougher. i just watch poker and hope to win flips, ha ha. no thinking needed.

7. no real big celebrations. when dave won the tcoop is was a pretty fun time. we just kinda hung out at the house and had to endlessly deal with stars support because of transfer limits/whatever. that whole 3 day span after was some of the craziest stuff ever though in regards to dave. i am not really 1 for celebrations. would just drink with some friends at the house after big wins.

i dont regret it at all. i made some good money, made a lot of great friends and just had an overall great time.

i play in a local live game in the tampa/st pete area. its usually 5-5-25 PLO and sometimes 5-5-10. we also play gin/backgammon and sometimes ofc. its a game with mostly business guys and not that many guys who actually play for a living.

What do you think about the state of the games now compared to when you started staking? Did you get out partially because it's a lot more variance for the same return?
