Quick note on Special satellites. The Deadline satellites for WCOOP are now up and open for registration. Astute players may notice that the deadlines are once again using a variable level time structure which gets faster as the tournament goes along. However, instead of the 5/4/3 system which was in place a few years ago (and removed in 2015), these now have a 6/5/4 system, with 6-minute levels for the first hour, 5-minute levels for the next 30 minutes, and 4-minute levels for any remaining time (which should be scant, if it's reached at all). Also, the somewhat hideous magenta has been replaced by a brighter orange, making these fit better into WCOOP overall while still standing out. Round 1s (and some 2s, probably) will be making their ways into the client soon.

The same satellites are running, but there's a lot more competition for the players' satellite dollars at the moment. I promise that there are no caps on how many seats can be won, though. ;-)

3 max PLO tables (in satellites at least) are built incorrect.
When playing HU BTN/SB found himself OOP first to act.
And in some themes (I use nova gray) chips placed incorrectly - they cover player name.

Please fix it.

As far as I know HU rules, BU is always SB. He is acting first before flop and last after flop. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I feel like I bring this up every series, but there should be satellites to the main event every day starting now.

If you do bring it up every series, and do it at this point, you're doing it a little too early...

There will be daily satellites to the Main Event, but not just yet.

Why not? Whats the downside of having a 530$ or 700$ 1 seat gtd sat every day?

Bryan, the Guarantees on the Mini need adjusting. Tournaments which will get 25-30k prize pool have a 5000$ guarantee right now.

Also some of the structures in the mixed games seem worse than in SCOOP, can you note it down and check it later when you can?

The guarantees for Mini-WCOOP are set, based largely off of the most recent MicroMillions, and are staying where they are. If we smash quite a few of them, or in fact all of them, that's perfectly fine with me.

As for the structures, the structures in Mini-WCOOP are identical to the structures in the corresponding WCOOP Events, nearly all of which are based off of the improved structures from SCOOP 2016. I do review each script continually, particularly as each Event approaches, but so far in these reviews I haven't seen anything which sticks out as needing to be changed.

There's no need for such a satellite as yet, particularly as the seats won in such a satellite would almost certainly result in instant unregistration(s) in 80+% of cases. The Main Event is more than three weeks away. There will come a time when daily satellites hit the satellite schedule, but that time is not now. For now, we have other Events on which to focus, Events which will play out in the next few days, and therefore take precedence in terms of finding room in the schedule.

could you add a second daily rd2 cash super-sat to the final rd3?
these are must play, so you don't have to worry about unregistrations

Bryan, is WCOOP VIP Bash FPP satellite to the biggest WCOOP events going to be released?
It would be awesome since last year it was very successful. What will be the entry/prizes of the final satellite?

Thanks.

Hi Bryan,

to be honest I did vote for the NL 2-7 and I won't play it (I'll be at work that Saturday, unfortunately! super disappointed).
But I decided to vote for NL 2-7 anyway. This game was not available during WCOOP (except at 1050$ price). I played the TCOOP NL 2-7 this year and that was a great tourney. Even if I can't play this WCOOP event, I wanted to support the game and help making that kind of event available.
I looked at some of the names who registered like me and I recognized many players. I can assure you they play Draw games every week (if not every day) on Pokerstars.
It's not a "conspiracy" or anything. It's just a bunch a Draw games fans who are really trying to keep those games alive!! I love NLH but it doesn't need that kind of support!!!

[QUOTE=BryanS-PS;50652490]
Mini-WCOOP should appear in the client later this week.

I don't want to be grumpy on this, but I honestly don't know how many more times I can type that the structures in Mini-WCOOP will be identical to the structures in WCOOP. If they play out more quickly, then they'll end without going to a second (or fourth, in the case of the Marathon Event) day.

For what it's worth, I think that the assumption that playing in a long, Championship-level structure is somehow less viable/enjoyable for a micro-stakes player based on their buy-in capability is more than a little condescending (albeit unintentionally, I'm sure). This (offering Mini-WCOOP) is a first, and if it continues beyond 2016, a once in a great while (likely annual) thing. Why should those who can't afford to play in WCOOP not want to enjoy a WCOOP-like experience at a level which they can afford? Those who play in WCOOP proper play at the same ratios, just at higher levels (the payout tables will be the same).

+1000
I don't really understand the complaints about deep structures for cheap events.
I just looked at the WCOOP-10 structure (11$ buy-in with a 50k$ guarantee). It's amazing, a great and very rare structure. How many times during the year low-stakes players have the chance to play this kind of structure?
If a regular tourney like the Sunday Storm had that kind of structure, that could be an issue of course. But mini-WCOOP, is new, it's once in a year... it's just an addition to the regular low-stakes schedule and does not take the place of another tourney.
Just great news, really, hope it's gonna be successful.

I'm not sure if I understand your point correctly, because atm you're unable to unregister from tournament once you have won a satellite to it.

hi bryan,

I remember you saying @SCOOP that the problems with getting the AnteUp satellites going would be tackled in the upcoming series, so do you think this time there will be a variety of good sats running?

Have my Mini-WCOOP schedule sorted and am looking forward to it starting in a couple of days time. Am not so much looking forward to getting up at 4:30am (my time) each morning in time to play the majority of the events. At least all the deep runs i'm going to have will make it worth it... GL all!

Bryan, on the brink of making day 2 of event 1 of mini coop, would you please be able to ensure that it will be worth while spending 10 hours to make day 2, also for the wcoop event? would very much like to not have wasted my time for just a min cash, as I'm sure thousands of others would be appreciated too.. Thanks in advance
