The last 2 series on stars have had the 4max at the same terrible slot on a saturday. EAch time people complained that they would wanna play it but its impossible with a sunday schedule the following day...it doesnt seem like stars has any interest in changing it.

While we're at it, so many tournaments have day 1's that are way too long. The milly ends day 1 at 8am for CET and then at 4:28 on day 2. The reverse would be much more desirable, or 6am/6:30 or something. Super tuesday (slower structure, smaller field) ended at 4:15am where day 1 ends at something like 7:30 am, same deal.

There was a time where I played till 1pm the next day no problem, but that time is long gone, and you shouldn't care about me but about the recreational player, for whom it is much worse. I don't care how excited about poker someone is, 95+% of players won't register a tournament where day 1 lasts until 7-8am when they have to work at 9am. But they might if it ends at 4am or something.

I speak from experience, when I started out I almost always skipped the sunday million because if I ran deep I'd have to cancel work. The increased amount of 2-day events compared to previous years is great, but it could be so much smoother. Winamax is not a good site anymore, but it's got this nailed so much better. Even stars.fr has it done much better generally.

Alrighty, I've cut Day 1 of Event 44 down a bit... as a bit of an experiment/trial which we'll study for further use in WCOOP and other events. After looking at last year's 4-Max NLHE Event, I see that chips were in play for a total of 14 hours and 20 minutes, and that the payouts broke into four figures after 7 hours and 19 minutes. So, I've chopped Day 1 down to breaking after 22 levels (7 hours and 20 minutes of play time, about 8 hours of clock time, including breaks... down from breaking after 27 levels, 540 minutes of play time, about 10 hours of clock time, including breaks). That should have the prizes big enough to make sure that everyone who makes it to Day 2 will definitely come back, and have Day 2's duration be about the same as Day 1's... while also letting Day 1 players get some decent rest in between Day 1 of Event 44 and the Sunday tournaments.

Let's see how it goes... and thanks for the feedback, yet again...

Please put the 4max on a monday next year, so that we dont have to play 4max on a busy sunday when we reach day 2

Probably... still thinking about the buy-in and timing for this one.

Hey Bryan!

I was wondering why you guys wouldnt set up another 25k VPP satellite to the 51k Ultra-High Roller when last week's was widely successful?

You could throw up another 5k VPP Rd3 tomorrow morning (Sept 19th) and perhaps a second in the afternoon, then schedule de 25k VPP Rd4 on Sunday morning (Sept 20th) around 9amEST.

Whatever guarantee would probably get covered right away, especially if it's a little smaller than last week's. That being said, I'd definitely keep the payout structure intact; tons of value in there.

Thanks and I hope to see one pop up!!

Side note: I'm sure that every red spade out there would love to see a few more randoms qualifying for the event off* FPPs. Win-win.

Fingers crossed.

the $27 phase 1 seems a bargain!

Thanks for that, UP4D. Typo in the Phase 2 fixed. Fortunately, nobody can directly enter the Phase 2. <whew>

Can we have couple more $82 deep turbos for the Sunday 1k 6max earlier tomorrow? 2 or 3 around wcoop-42 starting time would be perfect. There's nothing to interfere with and most of the people wouldn't sit so early to play sats on Sunday.

50k satty please 27 to 215, 215 to 2k, 2k to 5k or straight up 2k.
09-19-2015 , 12:56 AM
27 to 215 to 2k to 51k would be great.

I'd fire 1 or 2 27's, and if the 215 was big enough might fire that (10-20 seats to a 2k, 2k have 1 or 2 seats to 51k).

There are three Phase 1 S&G available - $1 Turbo, $27 Hyper-Turbo, $82 Hyper-Turbo.

In the $1 Turbo S&G, you start with 4,000 chips and 100 players in the tournament. The top 10 remaining players advance, with their chip stacks, to the Phase 2 on September 27th at 14:01 ET. In the case of the $1.00 Phase 2, the blinds continue from the level of 2,000/4,000/a400. The average stack at the start of Phase 2 should be about 40,000... approximately 40,000 because in at least one case so far, two players were eliminated during the last hand, so only 9 players advanced to Phase 2 from that Phase 1. The $1 Phase 2 guarantees ten WCOOP Main Event seats.

In the $27 Hyper-Turbo S&G, you start with 500 chips and 27 players in the tournament. The top 6 remaining players advance, with their chip stacks, to the Phase 2 on September 27th at 14:11 ET. In the case of the $27 Phase 2, the blinds reset to 25/50/a10. The average stack at the start of the Phase 2 should be approximately 2,250. The $27 Phase 2 guarantees five WCOOP Main Event seats.

In the $82 Hyper-Turbo S&G, you start with 500 chips and 18 players in the tournament. The top 4 remaining players advance, with their chip stacks, to the Phase 2 on September 27th at 14:21 ET. In the case of the $82 Phase 2, the blinds reset to 25/50/a10. The average stack at the start of the Phase 2 should be approximately 2,250. The $82 Phase 2 guarantees five WCOOP Main Event seats.
