Volume vs. Focus Volume vs. Focus

This may not be thread-worthy, if it isn't, go ahead and lock, but what are everyone's feelings on Volume vs. Focus?

I 14-table the $3.40 18m's and can dedicate a good amount of focus to all of my tables for the most part, but at any point I'm near the late levels (on several tables) I'm probably missing some shoves and definitely missing information that applies to ranges in terms of my calling/shoving ranges.

Is there a general consensus on this subject? I'm playing profitably at 14 and winning, but would it be a better idea to maybe cut down to 12 and try to put more focus into each table?

if you're missing spots you're playing too many tables.

Yeah, getting less info when playing more tables is eventually inevitable (hint: get a HUD and you'll still get some), but missing profitable spots is not acceptable. Reduce the amount of tables until you're back into your comfort zone, then try slowly upping it again.

I guess you have to assess your hourly rate. If you are missing enough that your hourly rate is damged then playing less tables would = better hourly rate than less tables would be correct. If your hourly rate is higher playing more tables even with missing some things than stk with it. It's a tuff answer because you'd have to actually play X# of tables for a decent sample size to assess your hourly rate vs. +-X# of tables.
