Hey all,
Got stuck on this pre-flop decision with a great hand in a bad spot.
FULL HAND:
https://play.globalpoker.com/gp/10/h...81880001ab15be
Global Poker $10k GTD 6-max
Blinds 600/1200,
Just moved to a new table. ~10 off the bubble.
No stats cause global =(
Villain (UTG): $35,966 (30BB)
Table Shorty (UTG+1): $23,042 (19BB)
HERO (SB): $49,691 (41BB)
Hero in SB posts 600, BB posts 1200
Pre Flop: Villain opens UTG+1 to 2,800,
Table Shorty UTG min raises 5,800 (committing 25% of stack, 14BB left)
Hero looks down at A
Q
in the SB.
Hero?
Notes: For me, I struggled to interpret the UTG+1 min raise as either nutted or fishy. If I were UTG+1 shorty, I would be jamming 19BB instead of min-raising. So I have this potentially nutted range [1010+, AQs+ ?], plus UTG open range to consider. It is 6-max though, so maybe I was over-concerned about such tight ranges.
AQs may be the line - I feel I can fold AJ, and jam [AKo+ QQ+] profitably.
I am curious what you guys think his range might be in this spot, as well as how best to proceed.
