X posted in Internet gambling forum-

But as the title says, I updated over an hour and a half ago, been trying to connect to Stars since, simply will not connect. "Cannot Establish Connection"

Anyone else having these problems?

you mean the clock in the bottom right hand corner?

it's fine and the date is fine too

Someone I know from another forum is having the same problem. Stars replied with some 'solutions' that didn't work.

yea that clock. hm. im sure you tried redownloading it from their website, and it still doesn't work?

you might want to try to flush your dns, and resetting your modem/router.

This happened to me and it turned out Norton Anti-Virus had done it. It was disabled and I'd attempted to uninstall it multiple times, but about 6 months after I'd decided to get rid of it, it decided to start blocking internet access to all newly updated programs. So, yeah, if you have Norton installed, might be that.

Yeah, I had this problem a few times with Norton.

I can't remember the exact steps, but I think you need to open Norton (CCApp.exe), go to Firewall and find exceptions. Then go to Stars and allow it.

Hope this helps. The path may be a little different, so you might need to search around a bit.

There's some application somewhere that removes all Norton products from your computer. I recommend that. (The fact that this software exists lets you know how ******ed Norton is.)

i think i tried to remove norton one time, pretty sure it resisted because I still have it

haha adobe is the same way such a pain. i even ran the "scorched earth" program thats supposed to just kill everything related to adobe and couldn't get rid of it :[

downloaded the norton remover thingy, completely got rid of norton, and wam! stars is back online..

i must say even if i didnt play at stars i would still use it for the search feature
