Should i have 4 bet this hand preflop. I had no reads on villian, but he was shorter stacked and min 3 bet it. I am not sure if thats a strong hand but thought it was trying to get some action.

both these hands tilt me just reading them, but you did good to fold both

1. too much preflop. i make it 775, but anywhere between 800-900 is good. 1050 is kinda excessive in position with no limpers. as played i probably check behind, since he can make a play on you with a lot of hands that hit that range (any diamonds, any straight draw, any ace, etc). also you have the king of diamonds, so another diamond isn't the worst thing in the world.

the only issue with checking behind is that you give free cards to a hand like QJ and JT.



2. this is almost always a pair that has you dominated or at the very least AQ/AK. your hand sucks against his range, so no, 4betting wouldn't be good. calling for set value is fine and is made even better by the fact that mp1 is coming along like 99% of the time also. flop is fine as played also.

I pretty much like a fold on both. Sick but good decisions imo. Nice work.

In Hand 1 i tried to raise bigger than normal to make it like i was on a steal. I just hated that Ace on the Flop, if i check the flop i am at a guess of what to do if he fires on the turn. This is why this hand sucks.
