HU in a ~$20 rebuy MTT vs. a pretty good player. Villain and I have tons of history, he's really aggressive and loves making moves on me. Blinds were huge and it's been a shove fest for about 10 mins already, just passing blinds back and forth.

This hand was the first time he limped so I was obviously scared he had a big hand and just checked. I'm interested to hear what you guys would do.

~$20 1 rebuy, $5 bounty; heads-up
3000/6000 (2 handed).

Table Information
Seat: 3 hero ($68000) Small Blind
Seat: 8 villain ($62000) Dealer
Dealt to hero
**

Preflop (Pot:9000)
villain****CALL

Flop(Pot: $15000)
***

hero****CHECK
villain****CHECK

Turn(Pot: $15000)
****

hero****BET $9000
villain****RAISE $21000

Interested to know what you would do here? I find it highly unlikely he just limped in preflop w/ A2-AJ and checked the flop, so the only thing I thought he could have here is AK/AQ (if he just wanted to induce a shove preflop and thought his hand is too strong to bet on the flop). Even that I thought was unlikely, so I thought his range here is kind of weighted towards the air side. He also tends to make smallish bluff raises afaik.

Spoiler shows what I ended up doing, but I wanted to know what some of you would do in this situation. Would any of you c/c the turn?

Spoiler:
hero****ALL-IN

I thought I may very well have the best hand here if he has total air or something like QT. I could have fold equity if he had a better J as well. The problem here is that he limped preflop so most hands that include Ts or Js here would push. I thought even against KK I had just over 30% equity, so I pushed. Thoughts?

Without looking at spoiler...

Don't see why you are building a pot here. You have some hearts covered, mid pair and no kick. SD value no matter what come next. Just c/c to the river, given that agg op is likely to give you some value.

hmmm sry...just looked at stacks and blinds again...no room for anything

i think this spot is completely read dependent. if the twenty hands leading up to this one to you that this is the hand, get all your chips in the pot first.

if you go with it, i quite like a b/c line on turn and shove any river

will be interested in other opinions.

@jamesboag: don't mean to offend you or anything, but do you even play midstakes MTTs? just judging by join date and post count.

c/c turn for sure. hes betting so wide here that were ahead of so much. raising really pisses away our equity too. If hes making a move on you this lets him try and blow us off our hand on the river. if hes ahead we get to take our pair+OMGEQUITY to the river for cheap. im calling most rivers as well. as played i think you have to shove turn.

Starting to agree with all of you saying c/c turn. Would hate to see him shove a blank on the river though. Would be such a close spot.

River came the 6c btw. Bricktastic. Gonna see if I can get more opinions before I reveal the results.
