Yeah c-bet flop. If you're hell bent on running a pot control/inducing line you might as well check back turn too.

I understand betting flop but I think checking is fine too
Checking turn once you check flop doesn't seem great. Lots of value to be had from Ax and I don't think he is that likely to bluff river after he passes up the opportunity on the turn
