$250 Venetian yesterday. Villain is new to the table. 75-250-500 20K Effective stacks.

I raise HJ to 1200 with T8ss. Villain calls BB

Flop is Td5h3d. Villain Checks, I bet 1K, Villain Check Raises to 3K, I call

Turn is 5d. Villain bets 3K, I fold.

Is my line ok?

Betting flop seems normal, though this hand isn't great for my range, I probably still have a small range advantage.

Folding to check raise seems to feeble with top pair.

Folding to turn seems automatic. It completes one of his bluffs, and hands like A5 just went past me too. Still, I had a vibe villain was betting all turns, so maybe I was supposed to fold the flop.

if i read this right, pot is around 9k ott and he bets 3k ? call that sizing and go from there, he still has enough bluffs for your call to be profitable OTT. u cant and shouldnt fold OTF vs check raise.

if i didnt saw villain x raising middle pairs i would most likely think that he never has a 5 there.

that was one of the better turn cards...no str8 got there and no over cards came

now there's also less combos of sets and 2pair(depending how wide he defends)...plus hes making it easy on you with that sizing, call and play rivers

pre and flop is fine. I would fold turn as that is a great card for his range. He often semi-bluffs diamonds otf and we have none in our hand ott

You can fold some hands here to a 3k bet. Hero should be looking at where T8s fits in his overall range and make a reasonable decision based on this.

What str8 draws is he cr'ing flop with?Anyway the flush hits which is the most likely thing he is bluffing with on flop so id fold turn

still pretty close vs this sizing?
we'll have some boats, a ton of flushes, trips, over pairs and better 10s...only worst hands are over card type hands and under pairs to the 10

...OP didnt mention who bb was...is he tight? aggro?

Probably towards the bottom. I'm down to check mid pairs in spots where they are in a tough spot vs x/r. This means that T8s is likely to be one of the worst hands I reach the turn with, meaning I feel OK about folding.
