I'd been overly active from LP and was expecting to get played back at very soon as both blinds were fairly solid (decent ROI searched on OPR), and i'd jacked this guys bb so much this spot was obviously perfect for a 4bet. After I made the play though I realised how disgusting my stack size was given I'd have to obviously fold to a shove. Then again, vs a decent player this 4bet looks ridiculously strong for the same reason and he might even fold up to 88/AJ.

At what point stacksize wise is the play not profitable or worth making?

I think you are too shallow to make this 4bet bluff.
Given you've risked almost 40% of your stack and need to fold to a shove.
I heard a wise pro say once that risking about 20% maybe 25% is the highest he would go and still fold (or give the illusion of folding.)

ya its too short to 4-bet1800 /fold.

even if u really want to 4-bet bluff, click it back to 1299 and fold to a shove. but im not a fan of these play with this stack sizes since some players may hood flat ur 4-bet and are gonna to put into a tough spot postflop... and some regs may shove over u light a small % of the time.

so just fold, simple

Yeah, I didn't realise how much of my stack it was until after I did it. Really not a big fan of clicking it back here because I think I'll get flatted an annoying amount of the time and my hand plays pretty terribly postflop.

What's the minimum stack size I should have here to 4bet to 1750/1800 and fold to a shove?

you can 4b/f with that stacksize vs button clicking monkeys with betsizing leaks (aka this villain) if you just mr and make it ~1500 vs small 3bets.
but in general just fold pre and fold vs the 3b.
in general your idea is good but the open itself is bad (hand/sizing) and w/o blockers its marginal at best. if he is really good his 3b size OOP is really alerting since he does not seem to be looking for folds.

Sorry but can you elaborate a bit, why is 750 a huge leak? Isn't it fairly standard to make it so small OOP to rep QQ+?

As for my open, I don't really like minraising so early in such a low buyin tourney because you just get flatted an absurd amount of the time and makes it rly annoying.

You say fold pre and that the open itself is bad without blockers? Isn't it standard to open a very large amount of your buttons, esp. without people playing at back of you and with antes as well?

I get that the 4bet is pretty thin esp. without blockers but it was just a gameflow thing and estimating he had air here >70% of the time.
