Just read the forums and apply what you'll learn and you'll be fine. You don't have to play that well to be profitable in a $1 tourney. If you want an overview try reading Shaundeeb's old 4/180 guide (which is in the sticky I believe) or Bond18's series of tournament strat articles (which you can find at tworags.com among other places). Just focus on applying what you read in those and you'll be crushing them in no time.

as far as $1 tourneys on FT go, i like the deep stack 90's a lot more than the regular stack 45's. yes, they take longer, but you can be more patient and let the maniacs blow up around you.

if i was to give you one piece of advice i would say try and think for yourself. sit down and work out the math on these games and study the prize structure and understand what you are trying to do. dont worry about playing differently to the majority. just plan your strategy away from the tables and then implement it. and even when you keep getting sucked out on keep sticking to your strategy
