This has happened to me too many times this week. Am I wrong to think I should put all my money into the pot in this situation. This is the 5th time in 8 tournaments this has happened. Sometimes I check raise them all-in, sometimes I bet and they go all in. I feel like I should be getting all my money in. If they hit a set then so be it.

Dont know if u have a read on the villain, dont know if he´s LAG player but ur 3Bet sizing with the 2nd best starting hand in poker is to big, making it 5.3x u wont get as many callers as u would like and will be loosing value that way.
On the flop just jam it...Villains has behind less than the amount already in the middle, no need to make that bet and then have to call a jam from the villain, take maximun value out of fold equity...Villains has around $2.8k and a $2.9k pot, just jam it.

Thanks for your replies. That is why I posted. To steady my nerves. I have been busted in the situation with KK in 4 of my last 11 tourneys in this situation. The weekend fish got me a little off kilter. My 70 and 80% hands were getting busted one after another so I started to preflop raise higher and higher amounts. But the fish kept calling.

you aren't doing anything wrong. you are playing 1$ events, and in those, top pair is considered the mortal nuts to the random's. He isn't stopping to think that you 3 bet huge over the top and ace jack was crushed. all he knows is he has a jack in his hand and its all that matters.

Congratulate yourself on getting it in ahead and realize that at this level, you are going to get drawn out on. Chalk it to the variance demon i guess.
