Super Turbo's Super Turbo's

Hardly ever play at Full Tilt but Stars was down last night so played a few games there. Thought I was signing up for STT Turbos but in fact signed up for a couple of Super Turbos by mistake....talk about an absurd format!

I'm sure everyone probably knows but.......300 starting stack, 3 min blind levels...didn't know what exactly to expect.....so called an all-in button raise from the BB with KJo very first hand and never looked back!

...won them both funnily enough but who the hell plays these ridiculous things on a regular basis?

ps: FT appears soft in general...though I think I play differently there because with the crap graphics I can hardly tell one suit from another.

Sarcasm or far from the truth. These are beatable at every level. Its just all push/fold and ICM, there is essentially no post-flop play involved.

I forget the dude's name, but someone played like 8k of these last month. He had some sick 3k breakeven stretches. Just gross ****. Made like $1 a game tho I think.

All you need is a bot and you're on your way...

(Sorry, couldn't help myself.)

that's a good month.....must have done wonders for his general tournament play!

lol....I'd like to play 8k of these in a month and then go play the WSOP ME.......It'd be like letting an Ice addict loose

$1/game is more than enough, most of the people playing these regularly play them for the rakeback. I know a guy who clears 12-15k a month in rakeback but doesnt beat the games he plays for much, yet the rakeback adds up to quite a lot.

Aussie Rhino...do you play Top Gun at North Bondi RSL on Thurday nights?
11-06-2008 , 11:58 PM
I've heard of people having trouble beating them at the $15 (or having ridiculously low ROI's) Need RB to beat these.

I went once, long before it was called top gun. Used to play APL a fair bit - finished top in NSW 1 season, but all you got is a measly seat in the State Champs, so I don't play much pub poker any more. I know they've changed it all, but why play 50 hands in 2 1/2 - 3 hours when I can play 300+ online in an hour and get much better rewarded?

Most of the APL ppl call me "Rhino", so if you heard that in the area, it was probably me.

Sorry, it wasn't $1/game. He made like $3500 before rakeback. He posted in the results thread here and his FTP name is WPTFuji. His rakeback payment, assuming he has rakeback, wouldn't be that impressive since it's all $3.50 + 0.30 games. If you played 10,000 games at a decent level you'd have a sick rakeback payment though.

at the 3.80 level?

Yeah

$1/sng @3.80 is 1/3.8 = 26% roi. not bad at all.

Reread my post above. He only made $3500ish. I was incorrect the first time. I linked to the results thread where he posted his graph.

oh cool, thanks

LOTs of bots in them now. and lots of regs.
11-07-2008 , 05:36 PM
I played these couple of weeks back pretty heavily but there were sooooo many regs at each table making perfect decisions it was unreal, i just couldnt compete.

May have another go at some point but after all the talk earlier about the guy being paid to create bots it just put me off. The way these are set up just makes it ripe for thieving cheaters.
11-07-2008 , 06:32 PM
Tried a few of the $7.50s of these, they are definitely beatable if only because people play far too passively ITM. However along with what the other guys are saying, pretty sure any decent limit will be filled with bots.
11-07-2008 , 07:37 PM
Now that SlimPickens bots are gone maybe they aren't as tough. Doesn't BunnyDynamics play superturbos.
11-07-2008 , 07:49 PM
Swongs are these things
11-07-2008 , 07:55 PM
bunnydynamics is a donk.

so say the masses.
