I'm really pleased someone is willing to invest their time in this. Good work Gobbo.

May I suggest that people who have specific ideas for how the forum can be improved post them here?

I have a few.

We need a 'best of' thread or something similar.

Really good posts/threads should be (as was orginally suggested when HSMTT was first set up) bumped to HSMTT.

Guidelines regarding bad beat posts, posting results, converting hands and needless nastiness should be enforced.

I'm not gonna start making any decrees until I get the green but I definitely would like to cut out a lot of the noise/pointless posts without making it seem like we're mean to outsiders too.

An anthology of sorts would be great, but a lot of the epic threads have been put in the archives so we're going to have to dredge a lot of them. Hopefully we'll get a lot of new thinkers (we always do) to come out with some great theory posts.

I really liked the team challenges with different buyin levels, so we should definitely do those again. Good way to encourage volume but we should probably wait until after the WSOP to run anything huge.

SSMTT is full of these right now.. new members (some not so new) aren't reading the FAQ and just dumping things here.. If they don't and make a thread they are then berrated for doing so instead of being pointed in the right direction.

The anthology that is there was great..... but a lot of the links are just broken so you are getting ~1 or 2 "ZOMG the links in sticky doesn't work!" Threads a day.

this is a good idea but maybe should be done perhaps in collab. with the mini series of poker FT are running as they are the perfect BI's for most of the ssmtt'ers

I like that a lot... There are so many standard spots/posts and it's hard to get the regs to answer to the interesting spots where most people dunno what to do // have no reasoning for why they would be doing a) or b), and you usually end up getting 1-2 answers from people who say I'd probably do this but you can also do that, without a real reasoning, so I def support that idea.

Maybe if there were a few people elected (not as mods) who could promote posts they think are HSMTT worthy, that'd be an idea how to implement this... as I think gobbo (who will be new mod? def? grats and thanks for doing this!) will already have enough stuff to do... just an idea
