I assume you have an arsenal Lacky?

Aside: it's easy to buy weapons in Peru, you can get prettymuch anything you want. The only thing you can't buy is ammunition - now that's a good system!
yup, well armed and consistantly able to hit a deer/man size object at 300m (assuming it's not shooting back at me. no idea how I'd react to that)

I'm sitting at o'hare after getting up redic early to be here on time, and of coarse the planes broke. f me. guess I'll be hanging in airports today. sigh.

I'm in Chicago for a wedding on my way to the caribian. The wedding guests included 25 folks from ireland. After the reception the party migrated to the front porch of the small hotel we were at. the more we drank (and remeber, this is after a reception, so were all about 8 hours into the drinkin) the loader it got. finaly at a bit past 2am the cops show to tell us we's a bit to load and time to call it a night.

Joe from ireland has some classic quotes as we saw the cops walking up.

"are we past curfew?"

"don't they know it's a wedding?"

"I travelled a long way for this party"

I'm pretty sure from joe's reaction the party woulda gone on had we been in ireland.

So do people gamble more or less during a recession? And how much of our deposits did Stars and Tilt lose last week?

Quoted before you can correct your spelling.

I liked his spelling of loud better. Especially when it was a bit "to load."

Maybe this is naive but I think that if Stars/FT were tardo-gambling with our deposits, they would have lost it long ago.

People gamble more when they have less money is the conventional wisdom. I don't know if that means "more people gamble" or "people gamble more." Seems like the lower-stakes games would, if anything, pick up a bit. I'm actually a little worried some good players who now have nothing better to do and need the money will come back.

i have trouble waking up in the morning regardless of when i go to sleep, what i eat, if i exercise, etc. usually i sleep for 10-11 hrs every night, much less if i drink. anyways, i set up an ipod dock alarm to wake me up to a song i liked and it worked just perfectly. if anyone else wants to get rid of 3 hour snoozes this could be the trick
10-13-2008 , 12:41 PM
don't use the same song everyday, or u'll learn the cringe at the sound of it.
10-13-2008 , 12:43 PM
Sippin you're light years ahead of me. I haven't used an alarm clock forever (wats a snooze?) and tend to get up whenever it feels right, which is usually way too late.

i heard more than 7-8 hours is too much sleep and is bad for you, something about lowering your life expectancy, you can prolly google it

i have trouble getting to sleep period, was tossing in turning bed for about 2.5 hours last night and my body wakes up whenever the **** it wants to. I got a "good" 1.5 hours of sleep last night (other nights ill get in 10-12 hours) and don't really feel too tired. Whatever I'll prolly nap later and **** up my sleep schedule some more.

In other news, I had a 1233 BOP score through 78 games and managed to record a score of 1269. Yeah.. two thirds in 22 games.. pretty heartbreaking.. feels like more than a $600 loss cus of BOP.

There's a difference between a typo and a misspelling. 1000 monkeys typing for 1000 years couldn't come up with a typo as far from the original as "caribian".

Im just the opposite. I wake up at 8pm-10pm everyday regardless if I drank alot last night or if I was up till the morning. Like last week we had a pretty big party and got home like 4 am or something. I woke up at 9am to go to school, without a clock, prolly still drunk. Probably cos I've had to wake up to school or work that time almost every day.

Oh yeah, if you use a song to wake you up, change it every now and then. ^^.

Lol. I meant that in the bathroom, I have my laptop already running with remote desktop connected to my pc - or maybe you knew that and are just pointing out how it could be interpreted hehe.

Awesome seats. Good thing the people in row 9 didn't just say "oh our fault, we are in row 1, kthxbye"

I kinda worried since Lacky is/was in Chicago on his way to meet Irieguy/TheUsher/Apathy in the caribian for a 10-day bareboat charter on a 46-ft. trimaran. They (+ SLF's) are meeting Lance (the dude that made the round-the-world post in OOT)....If Lacky is as inept at boat-handling as he is at speelingthere could be trouble...The group is due to sail from St. Thomas on 10/13 @ 5:00PM local time.

If Irieguy's TR comes anywhere close to his TR from the Baja cruise lastyear; it should be a classic....Also not that Apathey is fresh-off his nice finish @ WSOPE FT

That's pretty f-ing sweet. I think Lacky's earned it with the amount of hours he's put in already this year.

I used to sleep 9+ hours a lot until I decided to not do it. Set my cell phone alarm every morning, and maybe snooze 2-3 times (~20 minutes). Still sleep > 8 hours sometimes if I went out or worked out hard a couple days in a row, but I feel as good as before, sometimes better. Think it's a lot like exercise, you just commit to doing it and it gets easier with time.

I don't set an alarm, but when I'm disciplined for a couple weeks in a row at getting up at a decent time, I just start not being able to sleep later.

Unfortunately since I moved back across two time zones, I've been sleeping later. But, I'm getting back to a routine now.

everything is bad for you nowadays...

Supposedly, getting less than 6 or more than 9 could be 'really bad', but so many people do it that have lived full life expectancies that I'm not even sure of what's conclusive anymore and what's not, other than that there's such a thing as too little and too much sleep.

Also, the above addresses consistent sleep patterns; I travel on and off and my poker schedule changes weekly almost to the point that there are always random nights of way too little/way too much sleep for me because of a drastic change in schedule or time zone or activity. It's still not good for me but...at least I know why it happens I will say conclusively that getting on a consistent sleep sched. is generally very healthy and good for people (ideally, going to sleep and waking up with the sun, but, given that doesn't happen often anymore, any consistent pattern withinn 6-9 hrs is likely a good one)....which sucks in this line of work imo

I also love burritos, and melted cheese, and multi-quote. I love melted cheese on burritos, but either one with multi-quote tends to ruin my keyboard.

Good cheese is good, imo, but you can't forget about the classics. You can't make real Buffalo wings without margarine and you can't make classic American casserole dishes with Kraft singles. If you want to maintain an air of snobbery, buy "Wisconsin Farmer" cheese. It's basically undyed American.
